Firstly, apologies that this is not directly related to Cheltenham, and apologies if this has been mentioned in the Horse Racing Forum (I never read that) but just wanted to let people know that Spbet now charge £1 whenever you deposit funds into your account.

Its only a quid, but its the principle, and I hope the other bookies don't go down this route.  I for one won't be using them in the future.

Can I make a deposit without being charged?
No. All deposit options incur a fee. Part of the transaction costs, previously absorbed, will now be passed on to the Customer.

Why am I being charged to make a deposit?
From February 2012 part of the transaction cost/fee, previously absorbed, will now be passed on to the Customer.

Cheers

disgusting that. I rarely use them anyway but will certainly be avoiding them like the plague now. if they get away with it then how long before it becomes commonplace?

Why am I betting elsewhere?
Because they charge £1 for a £100 deposit but only let me put £4.50 of it on the horse I want to back...
