great bet should he run which it seems is the plan. 2 excellent runs this season and a mark of 140 is fair enough. hell be a better horse on better ground also. a big weak horse last year forget that hes much better than that and nicholls mob know it. spparently nicholls strongly fancies this thing and i do too . i also have a feeling hes a better horse fresh so maybe hes a little bit better than his last run and they did after all make him fav to beat rock on ruby. just hope they run and most of all ruby is on hopefully. also what bookies are going nr no bet on the cheltenham races at moment? and also ide just like to add i am aving my nuts on tocca ferro in the imperial cup . serious horse that thing is. any idea when ante post prices out for imperial cup?

I agree with you regarding Empire Levant I took the 25's when Nicholls put it up during his betfair chat. I think that his runs this season have been very good and they can also use Harry Derham's claim again. But didn't PN also say that Empire Levant could run in the Betfair hurdle next week?

On twitter a couple of weeks ago, Nicholls was asked if he only had one bet ante-post what would it be? Apparently the answer was Empire for the county, so gl!!

BJG, I think he does but not much i can see him being a high 140's horse but not much more. That's why i'm hoping he doesn't run at Newbury, he's proven he goes well fresh and Newbury could just increase his mark.

I will be backing it wherever it runs and following it next yr over fences (over which he should bloom).

Depends if he is carrying top weight or near top weight... Final Approach won it rated 139 last year.  As he has gone up 12lbs since his last run I doubt there is much left up his sleeve and PN is not one really to 'plot' horse for a cheltenham race, they race on their merit.  But runners that do well in the Betair Hurdle do well in the county.......also the same is for the irish equivalent, the Boilsports Hurdle, and personally I fancy the winner of that in Citizenship....stormed home!
