I always avoid the town, get out to Winchcombe, Bourton, Stow and you'll find several fantastic pubs. Or if the Twisters or O'Neill have a winner get down to the pub next to their yards

Ive stayed in Stow on the wold a few years back which was fantastic but the drive in the mornings have been slightly dodgey so stayed closer to Town ever since. There again this year but wondered whether we were missing some other cracking places

The Shutter Inn in Gotherington used to be good, had a few memorable nights in there, often a nice meal, a few drinks then the European football on TV. Then they introduced a karaoke and I abandoned it. The Apple Tree in Woodmancote is ok but I usually go into Winchcombe now or Stowe.
