Does anyone know if this horse is being aimed at the RSA or Jewson? I like him for the RSA but i'm not so sure about the Jewson.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

Will have a run in a graded Chase this month and that will decide whether he even goes to Chelt at all - 50/50 imo

Has he been omitted from all entries at Cheltenham in the novice races?? I can't see him in the lists
Report buddeliea January 26, 2012 12:58 PM GMT
Yeh,they did say they may not go the festival. They think a lot of this one, being very careful with him.
Report VillaBoy January 26, 2012 1:24 PM GMT
Interesting. I was aware they might swerve it, but thought one of the reasons they had left him until Xmas was to protect him. I suppose they'll concentrate on a few more novice chases before a crack at Punchestown. Then a possible crack at Cheltenham next year.

I thought they might not want to bottom him in the RSA chase, but had expected them to at least make an entry in it and also the Jewson, with a possible run for Cheltenham experience in the latter race. Glad I didn't get involved though!!

Better they taken him out now than let people continue to back him.
Report BJG January 26, 2012 2:50 PM GMT
Sad ffs

It is a pity we were not told 48 hours ago!

We might see him at Aintree. Colm Murphy did the same with QDLR, said they wanted to miss Cheltenham and wait for the season after .. make of that what you will .. could be a tip?
Report Graeme83 January 26, 2012 8:27 PM GMT
Not a hope in hell of him going to Aintree

Hidden Cyclone scoped dirty after his slightly disappointing run at Leopardstown on Saturday.

Shark Hanlon's seven-year-old made a fine impression on his chasing debut in December, but jumped sketchily at the weekend when third behind Sir Des Champs.

There were, however, extenuating circumstances, and he will be given the chance to set the record straight in the Nas Na Riogh Novice Chase at Naas on February 26th.

Hanlon said: "He wasn't 100% after the race. We had him scoped and he wasn't right, so that explains a lot.

"He didn't jump very well, but they weren't going very fast - the faster they go, the better he jumps.

"The horses aren't kicking at the moment, for one reason or another, but I'm sure they'll come good.

"We'll leave him for a bit and then probably go to Naas in a month's time.

"He's a very good horse and he'll have another big day."

Didn't seem to battle like it normally does it the above race, pulled too hard as well so another chance seems about right.I really like this hoss.
