I see he is entered. Just strange to enter thousand stars again unless they are concerned the fly isn't 100%
They know he will never beat the fly and that's why they said they were going to up him in trip
Perhaps I'm being a sceptic

I agree its only in as the Fly cant be a certain runner,TS is in fine form and with the Mullins barn in good fettle seems like a braces and belt approach. If the Fly turns up TS will go for the grade 2,3m later in the week.Im excited at the prospect of seeing the Fly back in action but wouldnt be unduly worried if it got pulled out on the 27th as still time to get 1/2 runs into him before the Festival and even without a prep a la Quevega will still win at Cheltenham and at a better price for the faithful, but I would much prefer to see the fly run on the 27th.

Maybe they just don't want to give TS a hard race over 3 m on bottomless Irish winter ground, at this stage of the season? If it were just as insurance for the fly, TS could be entered in both races at this stage.

my understanding of TS season s plans are the same as last year, ie stepping him up slowly running in the champion hurdle, then up to 2m 4f in the aintree hurdle and finally the french champion hurdle again which i believe is over 3m...that was his statment after his last run ( mullins does tend to change his mind though )

I'm not against the fly. He is very special and will beat any horse put in front of him.
But he has had his problems and we know the trainer isn't always up front with the public
I hope he is fine and we can enjoy this beast.
