To keep tabs on those indecisive trainers through the season:

Paddy Power Gold Cup
Nolan - About turn in the space of 24hrs with Noble Prince. The horses rating (and weight) remained unchanged throughout. Poor communications at best.
Henderson - One minute Dave's Dream a non runner the next it's in. I'm sure Nicky will get plenty of honourable mentions in the run up to March. Christ knows what he'll get up to with Binocular this time.

Excellent idea, lets hope it's not a busy thread, although I have a feeling it will be

Colin Tizzard's Cue Card - who unseated his jockey at Cheltenham on his last start - will bid to put that mishap behind him at Newbury on Friday.

The top-class hurdler made a most impressive start to his career over fences at Chepstow and was still travelling well when parting company with jockey Joe Tizzard in a race won by the exciting Grands Crus at Cheltenham's Open meeting.

Grands Crus is also entered in Friday's Grade Two contest, along with unbeaten hurdler Bobs Worth, but trainer Colin Tizzard is happy to let his stable-star take his chance.

"The plan is for him to run. This is where we've been aiming for him since Cheltenham," said the Dorset handler.

"We've schooled him a lot since his last run, both on the grass and in the school, and he has done everything well - as he always has.

"He just needs the experience of racing. He made a mistake at Cheltenham and that happens.

"He wasn't the first horse, and won't be the last, to make a mistake."

Now a NR 24 hrs later.

JONCOL was last night ruled out of Saturday's Hennessy Gold Cup in a change of plan by trainer Paul Nolan who had earlier described the eight-year-old as "90 per cent certain " to run in the big Newbury event.

Mr Nolans reputation grows further. Poor.

Think Joncol's non-participation might be down to the lack of rain, to be fair to Nolan.

Henderson effectively confirmed Oscar Whisky for the World Hurdle after a run at Ffos Las. Owner comes out today and states only 60 - 40 for the World Hurdle.

Not quite fip flop but trainer and owner need to get their story straight. Backing Henderson's horses AP should come with a very large health risk.

The annual jonjo "Albertas Run might go for the Gold Cup" ruse seems to have started again, could always be a double bluff one year I suppose.....

McCain and Peddlers Cross. Apart from a brief post race comment after the SS massacre at Kempton it's been Arkle all the way until the last few days.

Very very poorly handled by connections.
