He has taken some real chances there, waste of space get back on ski-slope
Report revedesivola October 20, 2011 12:23 AM BST
stevo, taking chances on lesser lights wont win a ttf. i think its rewarding not to try and be too clever with selections from my limited knowledge of it!
Report Far From Trouble October 20, 2011 4:30 PM BST
Richard Dunwoody has this game by the balls imo
Report duffy October 21, 2011 12:07 AM BST
quevega...at the start!!!
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 11:10 AM BST
he's picked one overhyped hoss in that list beginning with Z.
Report revedesivola October 26, 2011 11:28 AM BST
not at all howdi, hes unbeaten over hurdles and has gotten a wind op so that might make a difference. spirits son is the overhyped challenger to hurricane flyMischiefLaugh
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 12:04 PM BST
spirit is the ONLY challenger to the Fly imo
Report revedesivola October 26, 2011 1:06 PM BST
i doubt it. i wonder what answer youd get if you asked ruby is al ferof or hurricane fly betterLaugh and ss isnt as good as al ferofShocked
Report duffy October 26, 2011 3:16 PM BST
i'd still choose binocular ahead of anything else after HF of course
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 6:14 PM BST
christ and he got marmalised by the fly
Report duffy October 26, 2011 6:25 PM BST
yes, and i'd expect HF to marmalise spirit son too....i wouldn't give up on binocular being the best horse from these shores though...on "his" day (which is the sticking point i know) spirit son would have a pretty big job on i think....anyway if nicky runs them against each other, we'll see soon enough.
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 6:33 PM BST
if the fly stays fit 7-45 could become 4-11 on the day imo
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 6:33 PM BST
7-4 sorry not 7-45
Report Far From Trouble October 26, 2011 6:37 PM BST
no way on earth he goes off 4/11 Shocked
Report duffy October 26, 2011 6:51 PM BST
his price could be held up "if" binocular shows that he is still the same horse that won it....that might make HF 10/11Grin
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 7:21 PM BST
he could easily go off 4-11

- wins 4/4 in irelang
- gets there fit
- opposition looks sub standard
- plenty drop out knowing they have no chance

if the race was tomorrow he'd be evens plenty of 'built in worry could be injured' in current 7-4
Report duffy October 26, 2011 7:44 PM BST
even if we get the usual performances from binocular through the winter....the "possible" good ground spring performance of a couple of seasons ago...as well as spirit son and zarkander oscars well....would stop him being 4/11......and then of course you've got the possible arkle candidates reverting back to hurdles off aborted fencing attempts to consider as well.
Report Howdi October 26, 2011 9:17 PM BST
Im telling you he could be there are only 3-4 serious challangers - maybe only 6 will turn up if it maps out that way
Report revedesivola October 26, 2011 10:25 PM BST
no way he will be 4/11 id say
Report stevo1 October 27, 2011 2:21 AM BST
Howdi knows?
Report buddeliea October 27, 2011 7:39 AM BST
He may be right, but if those horses include Spirit,Oscars,Bino and Zarkander,he wont be 4/11,no way.May not even be odds on,cos if they all turn up it means they have done something pretty good this season i would imagine
Report Masterminded October 27, 2011 8:02 PM BST
Spirit Son will be the only danger to Hurricane Fly. Best novice hurdle performance last year was Spirit Son at Aintree.
Report GI MAC October 27, 2011 8:35 PM BST
That was defo one of the best novice hurdle performances of last season. It was over 2m4f, SS looked better the further he went, is he definately going down the Champion Hurdle route? Or will he be running over further? I haven't heard or read anything anywhere.
Report Masterminded October 27, 2011 8:45 PM BST
Champ Hurdle will be the plan. I def think he improved from Chelt to Aintree. I think he's the real deal it's just going to be tough to beat a freak like the Fly.
Report duffy October 27, 2011 11:37 PM BST
he did look better the further he went....have a look back at the supreme and see what happened to him just as they turned in when the taps were really turned on....he was caught out for toe and lost 2 lengths...he stayed on well again to pick up SS and CC who faltered but AF who had given him 5 lengths with 2 to go still picked him up.
Report alexmillwall October 28, 2011 9:03 AM BST
i see it different- SS a true 2miler, travels well under cover then has a burst of speed to go past his rivals at the end. In the supreme this worked perfectly but he was caught off-guard by al ferof who looked all but beat. If i think it was BG was also keeping an eye on AF it would have been different result. Hence small fields suit SS better.
Report Howdi October 30, 2011 10:17 AM GMT
missing me point 4-11 if race carves up not if there are some credible challangers
Report stevo1 November 7, 2011 6:37 PM GMT
