went into wh smith at lunchtime ...they still had 4 copies of last year's on the shelf. i will buy the new one though . must have something to consider before the season starts proper . the timeform annual last year came out too late and it's not worth the money now, especially if you are having to read 500 pages in 2 nights before the paddy power .

Still waiting for OJA, i'm off to Smiths today to see if I can buy it, sick of waiting for the post. |
|
By:
Still waiting as well despite an e-mail from the RP saying it was posted last Weds (it does also say it may take 10 days), I suppose I'm a little impatient but 10 days seems a long time

|
|
By:

It's the same with Amazon. Thought there might be a week delay between Mark releasing it through his site and then sending it to other dispatchere, but this is taking the p*ss.
Has anyone gone to WHSmtith's and bought it yet? Tried there and Waterstone's the other day, but all I found were copies of the 2009/10 edition. May try again today if needs be. I'm getting tired of waiting! |

hold your horses !....should only start reading about jumping when the pheasant season is upon us and the arc has been run . ie, october ...looking forward to that nice sunday in october at aintree if the weather is nice and autumn like ...

I ordered from Bookdepository & it's not yet been sent
If it is the case that he's prioritising those who ordered direct fine, but the release date on the site should reflect this I'm based in Ireland so I can't send a sterling cheque & MH doesn't accept credit cards |

Btw is Hidden Cyclone in the 40?
|

By:
No, he's not Colonel, gets a favourable mention in the Irish section though. RSA is suggested.

My book came today from racing post which is good. Feel sorry for those who have paid and still not got their books it's a pretty poor service. It's the first time I've bought the book but it seems very difficult to get hold of. Not sure why he doesn't set up his website to accept online orders.

By:
just email him had mine 2 weeks
|
|
By:
Yer thats fine Howdi, the point we are making is that other sites shouldn't advertise as getting it on a certain date if they are not actually releasing it until a month after that date
|

agree

Howdi,
Taken from your website.......... [:p] Thursday 6th October 2011 I will be selling copies of One Jump Ahead at Carlisle tomorrow - the racing at the Cumbrian venue looks terrific with a mouth watering novice chase and a fascinating bumper amongst others. We have received another order from WH Smith and Gardners (who supply Amazon) and these will be going out shortly. I spent an enjoyable day at Ludlow yesterday. While the racing wasn't necessarily of a high standard, it was great to be jump racing again and I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Shropshire track. It generally attracts 'an old fashioned' clientele and is an extremely friendly track. Admittedly, it isn't the most accessible racecourse (the A49 must be one of the worst roads in the country) but it is well worth a try if you haven't been before. Castletown Bridge, highlighted in Bromley's Best Buys in OJA, made an impressive Rules debut at Worcester. Trained by the in-form Charlie Longsdon, the former Irish pointer was the subject of strong support throughout the day and his supporters never had an anxious moment in the concluding bumper. An eleven lengths winner, he looks above average and it will be interesting to see if he is aimed at the Listed bumper at Cheltenham's Paddy Power meeting. |
