i for one think he should. hed have come 3rd in the champion hurdle i think and i dont think he will trouble big bucks, i think 2 miles is his trip anyhow. if hurricane fly got stuffed in the champion hurdle then solwhit at 3 miles would have been worth a go. he needs to contest the british grade ones tho, christmas hurdle and the likes...
Cannot beat HF.His ideal distance is 2m and a half, thats where he should be campaigned.Fair enough if they want to pick up place money in the top 2m races in Ireland, but if they want to give the horse a chance of winning races he should run over his optimum distance.

Trainer said he goes chasing. But trainer is as dodgy as they come so wouldn't believe a word he says. If solwhit stuck to 2 miles over hurdles and made the trips to England he could mop up over there.

spose,if you put it that way you may have a point, but i would not give up on Bino yet my friend, and Spirit Son will imo be a better 2m hurdler than Solwhit next season, not sure about Zarkander myself.

Binocular, he's not going to win a thing during the season sure isn't no.2 of his endless list of excuses he is only fully fit for cheltenham.
We've no idea if Spirit Son will prove better than Solwhit, only 2 horses have ever given Hurricane Fly a race, Solwhit and Peddlers cross and both deserve high praise for that as they're practically unbeaten when not facing him.
I do think Solwhit is going chasing though.

only 1 horse gave HF a race this season.Solwhit was embarrassed by him more than once.In the past he has given HF a race but that tells me that now he has either regressed or HF has improved markedly, regressed is my thoughts,or maybe a bit of both. Agree we dont know for sure re Spirit Son,its just my opinion based on watching the horse, looks a real goodun to me. As for Bino, personally dont think its that funny mate, after all he has produced some very good performances, one of which could arguably have been better than anything HF has produced.I am willing to give the trainer the chance to get him performing at his best next season.

Bino needs a very fast paced 2m ideal on a stiff track. That said he'll still be looking at the Fly's arris
CV loves a good old seethe at Binocular's expense Bino needs a very fast paced 2m ideal on a stiff track. That said he'll still be looking at the Fly's arris
yer probably right, but comparing their respective CHurdles their aint a lot between them imo. i just would like to see the Bino we saw at Cheltenham against HF.
