Next years Arkle could be incredible. As far as I am aware all these are goig fencing next year -  Pedlars Cross, Oscar Whiskey, Dunguib, Al Ferof, Sprinter Sacre, Spirit Son, Cue Card and thats before I mention the winner OSCARS WELL

Every year the Arkle looks fascinating until about mid January when most of the pretenders have been injured, can't jump, or were never really going chasing anyway. Sprinter Sacre looked all over the winner going to the last as did Alaivan. Both worth a bet if running again at Aintree.

Just watched it again, massive performance and more impressive than spirit river the year before. Has to try 3 miles in the top rank imo.

Agree about Carlito. I backed it as I have on every run since its debut. The handicapper will murder it now though.

One horse went into the notebook without even running. Quito De La Rock - narrowly beaten by Bostons Angel in Ireland at Leopardstown in December (Chicago Grey in behind). Wanted to back the horse in whatever he ran in, but the weather put paid to that, as he seems to like soft ground. One to look out for in Ireland next season for sure.

I thought first lieutenant looked a good prospect for the rsa. Ok probably wouldn't have beaten oscars well if that one hadn't slipped up but first lieutenant is viewed as a chaser and battled back well once headed

Hardly one for the notebook but Wymott drifted like a barge before the RSA then 'ran' (I use the word loosely) an absolute stinker before being pulled up - he's got to be better than that.

imsingingtheblues - i was told this one was fancied a couple of weeks before the festival and why not - he is well handicapped.

I didn't back him as I didn't think Cheltenham would be his track but there was a lot of money for him in the build up.

Look out for him over 2m on a flat track nto, maybe somewhere like the Ayr National meeting, he's won at the course before.

Wayward Prince under AP McCoy! I think he's ideally suited to McCoy's riding style and I have already taken an early interest in next year's Gold Cup! My one concern is if Kempes reappears McCoy will no doubt ride him, but I thought Wayward Prince looked a real gutsy, Gold Cup type who responded well to McCoy's aggressive style!

i was never a fan of wymott, i dont think hes up to much. connections think a lot of him but to me his form (which is 95% of what i go by) is nothing spectacular

Decent handicapper at best! Won't win an open race at graded level IMO!

Stayers was a joke race....10 secs slower than Pertemps cos they crawled...all in a heap....worthless as a form guide imo

Watched race again....fair play, even in context i mentioned, RBB shapes nicely.

Alaivan was a horse I thought shaped very nicely in the County.

Travelled as well as anything, was made a bit too much use of perhaps, and didnt quite get up the hill. But back on a flat track, on decent ground, he could be one to follow. His form with Son Amix and Carlito Brigante certainly has a solid feel to it.

Go All The Way was another for me. Excellent form on debut, but hadnt ran for nearly a year. Most NTD horses ran very badly, and this looked in need of the run. Struggled during the race but stayed on very well to get 4th.... wasnt unbacked either

Expensive buy, and definitely one to follow imo.

In bumper, i thought Aupcharlie travelled powerfully but wasnt helped by being forced widelast 1m...brother was useful hurdler and he should make classy 2m novice nxt season.

Thought Beggars Cap ran quite a promising race in the Grand  Annual.hoping he might pop up at a big price in the 2 miler at Aintree

Beautiful Sound was unlucky, almost stopped over the 2nd last having to go round a faller.
Two others for me, Wayward Price in the RSA was staying on better than anything I saw all week, will have plenty to say in next seasons staying chases.
The other was the 4th in the World Hurdle, Cross Kennon. Not sure this one will find many hurdle races to test his stamina but he was fying up the hill to finish only 5 lengths behind Big Bucks having made the early running, this one will have to take on fences I think to fully test his stamina

I'msingingtheblues has to go for the Red Rum at Aintree surely... Woolcombe folly is apparently being aimed at the race so he'll be running off around the 10st mark with much of the field out of the handicap.

Kauto Relko caught the eye for me, apparently he's improved a lot for a recent operation and was badly hampered during the race before staying on to finish 5th. Back in weaker grade he can surely pick up a contest next time out.

I had been a big fan of Wymott, but when I saw cheekpieces in a grade 1 race I knew my money was gone.

Sounds daft, but forget all the hype in the preceding 12 months and I thought that Cue Card looked an excellent prospect. If Tizzard had kicked on before the second last when he picked them up hard on the steel, it could've been different, in the end I think he was done for toe by quicker horses. Over a trip and fences next season, he could be a very exciting novice, as the first 5 home in that Supreme all have a quality look to them and I'm confident the form will hold up.
Next seasons QMCC will be won by something that didn't run in it this year, just don't know what! With a gun to my head I'd go with Finians Rainbow.
Hen must now see that Somersby wants a trip, thought it ran a really game race after its mistake and would take some beating in a Ryanair.
Unaccompanied might give Quevega something to thing about next year too.

I liked the look of Big Bucks in the world hurdle, could take some beating if it goes to Aintree

Heron's Well - Foxhunters - expect big run at Aintree if similar ground.

I just wonder whether Unaccompanied might be aimed at the Ascot Gold Cup - though the trainer has RoP and maybe Profound Beauty for the race already.

If not Ascot, then maybe one of the similar races at the later Summer festivals.

Unaccompanied has been a miler on Flat thus far and looks a 2m hurdler through and through to me....i'd hold fire on those Ascot Gold Cup/David Nicholson bets for time being.

Yep agreed. Think Smullen said on ATR the other day they might try and win a listed race with her on the flat this summer.

Unaccompanied got stopped at a vital point of the race and may well have won but for that, IMO. i'd back the horse to turn the form around with the winner

i dont think it did her 2 and 1/2 lengths damage tho did it? i didnt think so...

Thought Wishful thinking jumping was different class apart from the last. Think his jumping will win him plenty of races next year. Think the 1st 4 home in the Neptune could all go on to really good things
