Warren Marston on Champion Court.

The horse pulled really hard early but he decided to hold it up in last throughout, if he had just let out a little reign to move it into midfield the horse may have finished closer.

I didnt back it, i just like the horse.

I thought Choc Thorton gave Medermit a poor ride. Considering that Medermit had won his last race over 2 1/2 miles, for me he should have been more positive on him.

Worst by a country mile was Davy Russell on Beautiful Sound. How that horse got placed I will never know. Definitely one to follow.

Too many good ones to mention, but Ruby's in the County was excellent (even though it cost me a fortune).

CCM, Jason Maguire was on Beautiful Sound after Davy Russell weighed in two pounds over weight the day before.

Lee on K King !!!! worst ride of the week award!
Report cmacedin March 19, 2011 2:08 PM GMT
Surely Walsh gave Sam Winner a ride to claim worst of the week, and D O.conner best on Chicago Grey

Thought Daryl Jacob made a bit too much use of For Non Stop not that he would have beaten Carlito Brigante, and from a financial point of view would of liked to have seen him grab that running rail in The NeptuneCry

WORST- AP McCoy on A Media Luz. Very buzzy horse that needs to be settled and held up at all cost. What does AP do? He has her as wide as he can go at the start with NO COVER what so ever and all she has got in front of her is daylight and horses running past the side of her. What happens? She pulls her head off blows her race in the first few furlongs before he lets her go to the front and then fade. Not saying she would have won anyway but he gave her an abysmal ride.

2nd Worst- Same race Ruby Walsh on Sam Winner. Whilst I fully agree and understand that he got totally outpaced coming down the hill Ruby I'm sure will agree himself that he was looking after the horse and all but pulled the horse up coming down the hill. As soon as the speed horses were running out of petrol and Sam Winner hit the hill who was tanking home? Sam Winner. It was more of a bad judgement to the fact Ruby thought is chance was gone. I think if he had kept at Sam Winner they could have near on won it and I could have been putting it as my best ride of the festival.

Best- Choc on Bensalem. Judged the pace perfectly before arriving at the right time. Allowed the horse who had not ran in a chase for a year to get into a nice flow of jumping before battling up the hill to pip Carol's Legacy.
