Im glad because the trainer and owner have plotted this, people lost money in big handicaps this season when they wasn't even getting a run for their money, then making excuses like he had a back problem, load of bollocks, It was set up so JP could get on the stage today Im glad a horse today won on merit having ran a good race back in ireland and not having to cheat to take a prize at cheltenham.

Guy is having gambles set up for him by his trainers, some have said at a cost to other punters (who bizarrely then hero worship him), still cant back the winner with a horse way better than the rest of the field.

If you couldn't see the way in ran first two races this season....  Even the RacingUK Lydia Hislop and Steve Melish fell out with McCoy over the runs and it's very unusual for pundits to criticise AP.

It did give me a unique experience, in that I had a backed a horse (couldn't not have a saver given the obvious plot), then screamed at it to, "Get beat you cheating b4st4rds!!". Never been more happy to get chinned on the line.

im with the majority here. sat watching the race and thought please lose you cheating gits! was thinking the exact same thing when what a charm led over the last and won the fred winter. wasnt as lucky with the result there tho. the fred winter shud be scrapped from the race list for the festival asap. shambles that a horse rated 115 can be a festival winner.  bad for the sport.

I remember one pundit (possibly Jonathan Neesom?) stating after the Martin Pipe race that he was disappointed Son of Flicka got picked up after he had had such an 'honest' preperation. The point being that in order to win a big handicap at Cheltenham the chances are that you are going to of have to of deceived the handicapper in some way deliberately or otherwise.
Don't hate the players, hate the game - at least with these connections their cards are pretty much laid on the table by the betting pre-race.
