I'm looking to oppose Time For Rupert, not by laying but by finding an alternative as an each way punt, but cant make my mind up who to go with. TFR is obviously class, and should be prominent in the Gold Cup market next year, but I think he could have done with an extra run over fences as most winners of this have a bit more experience.

Unlike the Arkle. I'm not too bothered by hurdles class but just want something with a lot of heart, a bit of a plodder. What's everyone else gone for?

I'm already on TFR, but agree it would have been nice to get another race in since his last.

The Giant Bolster could tick some boxes at a bigger price. The way he won on trials day carrying top weight and also was still in the race prior to that when falling. At 20/1 could be a decent each-way sort, but it's quite a competitive race I think.

Bostons Angel probably wouldn't quite be my pick in this race, but he's arguably proven more than most that he can get into a fight and win given that's what he did in his last 2 races (both Grade 1s)

Wayward Prince is a battler, whether good enough to win another story?

Cheers for the replies lads. Bostons Angel was one I had considered, not sure it will quite be good enough but should get a run for the money at 16s. Presume Power will be on board, but the expected good ground could be a concern.

Quel Espirt battled a lit bit on his Chase Debut, little evidence though.

BA shown his guts and trainer had Horner Woods placed at 66/1 in the race two seasons ago.

If it's value you're after, I'd be happy to go with The Giant Bolster e/w. Has bags of stamina and jumps well. Won at Cheltenham in January and could well run into a place.

Boston's Angel and Magnanimity are both tough as nails.

I don't think there's a tougher horse than Wayward Prince in this but he needs to show he's good enough. He was off the bridle for a long way round Aintree but led late on there so trip shouldn't be a problem.

surprised aiteenthirtythree is such a big price. think after this race we'll all be scratching our heads that we allowed a nicholls horse that won its last novice chase by 50 lengths to go off at such odds.

Strongly fancied apparently.

After spending all day looking at it I've gone for Wishfull Thinking @ 12/1 and Bostons
Angel @ 16/1

wayward prince looks the right type to me,tho mikael looks a bit of value on 2009 form

Wishfull Thinking will be going in the Jewson marychain.
