Have to look hard to get 10s on First Lieurenant now.  By the way, can anyone enlighten me as to how Tornado Bob can be such a short price?  Has he been beating Peddlars Cross on the gallops?

Yes I agree Ali, Tornado Bob is joke short on what's he's done. This market is so wrong it's unreal.

Just double checked So Young's Irish hurdles form and found he has beaten 28 horses in 2 races, and only 1, Harpsy Chord, has come out and won.  It was a 2m 3f maiden hurdle yesterday.  I shudder to think what Hidden Cyclone would have done to him and First Lieutenant has his beating.  So Young might have won easy, but has beaten nothing.

Market ain't form based in this race is it? Seems to think Mouse and (to a lesser extent)Mrs Harrington have forgotten how to train racehorses.

If So Young goes in by 10 on the bridle I'll accept that they knew and the market had it right. Until then the prices here are wrong simple as that.

so young is unbeaten and from a big stable and has won his races very easily on soft /heavy ground  on the bridal and has a big reputation =HYPE  ,the media and impressionable punters like this type of sexy  horse and so his price is no value on what he has achieved  we dont know what he will find if and when he comes off the bridal ,he may be good enough to win but at the prices look elsewhere for value .

I dont think it was just hype..Looks a good horse..I just watched the race again and he looks the winner coming upto the last imo..Would defo back him over First Lieutenant if they meet again..

Hype my árse.

He was upsides First Lieutenant when he hit the last. He may or may not have won but he's been proved to be a serious horse. Had he been beaten at the turn it would be fair to say that he was a hype horse but he made a massive step up in class and showed he belonged in the race so to call him a hype horse is completely disingenuous.

Was he value at 2/1 or even 10/3 that he was today, most probably not but 7/1 was freely available last week nrnb.

Yes, I couldn't have backed a loser at 2/1, but backing a loser at 7s would have been different. Blush

I'd rather back a horse at 7/1 each way than a loser at 2/1.
Is that just me?

Each way is for poofs- hth.

But in all seriousness, fair enough- you didn't say e/w though [;)]

Nowhere to go with this horse really for future Festivals. Small and lacks scope. The winner and Oscar Wells have plenty of scope to jump fences.
