This guy is a wind up, right?!

I was all over this horse last year. Will not be backing again this year after that horror show.

From reading your posts CV Byrne, as much as I admire your logic in presenting your case, you do come across as a bit of a smug character, no offence intended.
Take me as you want, you have no idea who I am, you have no idea of what I have backed/not backed, won/lost. To acuse someone as "unforgivably dumb" when it is you who does not know how to use "there" and "their" (as in "there horse") when appropriate would make me wonder who the dumb one is..... |

By the way, spot the mistake...there's a gold star in it for you

I post here in spite of the clueless drivel and total morons who pollute this place, 99% of them signed up in the last year to follow nicholls blog.
Personally I don't care how i come across, there's a group of posters on here who I respect and it's debate with them that keeps me here. This forum stopped being a community ages ago, we all moved somewhere else for that. |
By:
Thank you. Best of luck to you at the Festival and don't let the Forum Owner upset you. I used to look at the forum on a regular basis, now just from time to time to see if there is any inside news on any of my ante-post nags. It's the same old faces on here day after day...you stick to your guns. Incidentally, it would be a major surprise to me if Tranquil Sea won a Ryanair on good ground, beating Kalahari King, Poquelin and Somersby (if he turns up) but what do I know....

Just clear off CV. You're the only one here showing themselves up to be clueless and moronic.

and it's debate with them that keeps me here
Leaves me to wonder why bother posting on this thread with we who are not worthy? |
By:
It's probably CV's bad attitude that has made the good posters find somewhere else.

And there is still over 5 days before the 1st race starts

some horses just don't fire at the festival.
I think Tranquil Sea has been well beat 3 times, well fancied on every occasion. As for the ground he acts on good but best runs on s/hvy. GL |
By:
Is it me or are the threads getting more nasty.
Is festival fever to blame?? As for Tranquil Sea,imo he needs the ground soft to beat the horses that will line up next week.Albertas,Poquelin and KK all like good ground and TS cannot beat those unless the ground goes against them. |

That's what happens with an unmoderated forum. This is the only forum I can think of that is unmoderated and this is the result. I probably need to just block more people really.
But I think you're post shows what people should say, "in my opinion he needs soft". Not speaking in certainties. |
By:
Just to throw another opinion into the mix.
TS has had 13 chase starts. His form figures for the months of Oct/Nov/Dec read 1511211 His form figures for Feb/Mar/Apr/May read 562196 His February victory was at odds of 4/6. |

So do we have any news regarding the drift?
By:
I watched Cattermole on ATR covering the Irish angle at lunchtime and there was no mention - other than him saying with the ground drying M Cattermole thought TS would be a doubt for the ryannair. This of course waouldnot square with the trainer's view (notwithstanding the form history) that he'd be better on good ground. I suspect unless we hear something it is speculation (including the panellists at the towcester preview night - see mayweather's thread) that he maybe taken out because of faster ground expectations.
By:
Has anyone seen any confimation or otherwise from the trainer that the horse is ok, the silence is a bit worrying.
By:
horses dont drift 10 points like this did last night, because a few people think it wont like the ground.only someone who thinks or KNOWS it aint running put them prices up
By:
You may be right...it's trading around the 10.5/1 mark on BF a the moment....so it's recovered from the spike last night...hopfully some positive news at the delaration stage tomorrow
By:
CV the only thing that needs moderating is your attitude. I hate having to argue the toss with someone about something that is patently clear to see. Worse than that, when that person can't stand being wrong they start with the 'holier than thou' b0ll0x.
Just be adult about it and accept that you were wrong. |
By:
As an aside the betting on here indicates it's back to plan A re Somersby. Hope so !
By:
Somersby is out to 18/1 on BF but still appearing short on most books...hope it all becomes clear tomorrow...Ok for you maybe chaplins but some of us are on ante post...though at the time it was only because it was a clearly stated target - this race has a habit of being a nightmare antepost..
