thats what id imagine too rev,if hes not on hf that is,i just suggested ts because thats his only other option, well at the end of the day its up to hf owner as to who he wants on his horse, but theres no better jockey than ruby out there (imo) and hf is the sort of horse that is made for ruby to ride!crazy if they pick townend when ruby is available
Report revedesivola • March 9, 2011 11:54 AM GMT
id say ur right steve, f the stable jock doesnt get 1st pick on everything then trouble will start
Report evra • March 9, 2011 11:59 AM GMT
indeed, well i wouldnt imagine he'd be too happy anyway, townend is a very very good jockey, but hes no ruby walsh,ye just cant beat having an experienced jockey in races like the CH,it way very well be a contributing factor for dunguib too, anyway we'll soon find out

If is a very big word. Does any one for one minute think they are that stupid that they would actually tell Ruby "Your off"? They would be slitting their throat with a broken bottle if he got beat a nostril.

If it were true and I was Dunquib's owner I'd snatch Ruby up which would increase his chances 10-fold.

Mr O'Connell has a dreadful record 4 wins from 190 hurdle races, made a complete horlicks of the Supreme and the only thing I can think of is he owns a leg in the horse or something.

I'd love to own a Champion Hurdle horse and I can just see myself letting BC ride him when Ruby Walsh was available. My ex-trainer would have kicked my right in the jacksy and told me who was riding.

So if either Mullins or Fenton bypass the chance to book the best jockey of all time in favour of a lesser man for such an important race then....I'll let you guys finish the sentence

Owners pay the bills end of.

End of my backside. That depends very much on the trainer my friend. Some would tell you to take a hike for telling them their job, others wouldn't.

Willie Mullins will be part and parcel of who rides and my money is he'll be vying for Ruby and he'll get his way.

Willie dropped a big hint last night that Townend rides Hurricane Fly in CH!

Ruby could be the best spare jock in history, Dunguibs owners should stump up the cash to get him onboard

Well for what its worth i was told at xmas after the xmas hurdle by the owner that its alright riding round leapordstown in 6 runner field for grade 1 at a sluggish pace but at cheltenham you need a brain and expierence and their is only 1 man for that....

Also ruby shouted across townend "keep that saddle warm for me"...
Report Wicketd • March 9, 2011 3:58 PM GMT
put him on danquib Cry
Report Mooono • March 9, 2011 4:05 PM GMT
Ruby could turn up at Cheltenham having rode 0 winners since coming from injury Shocked..I thought 1 of the trainers would put him on a steering job..Get him back in the winning groove for Cheltenham..
Report evra • March 9, 2011 4:05 PM GMT
poetic justice if he were to be jocked off the FLY and then beat him in a driving finish on DUNGUIB!
Report CVByrne • March 9, 2011 4:14 PM GMT
Mullins said last night that only  townend or patrick ever ride him at home, ruby hadn't sat on him this season. He's very hard to settle and paul knows him well. Certainty that townend rides based on those comments.
