I still fancy this horse for the Ryanair e/w @ 33/1 nrnb

He has always had ability having won G1 novice chase at the Punchestown Festival beating Cooldine and Joncol in the process. Then when making all to win under top weight at Leopardstown lto when wearing first time blinkers seems to have managed to harness that ability.

Trainer said he'd been "acting the maggot" all along and the blinkers have managed to get him to do something. In a race that looks more and more open with Riverside injured, Albertas possibly Gold Cup bound, Mullins being downbeat about Jy Vole .

At worst he represents a good trading opportunity. I wish I could find comments from connections on if he takes his chance but I'm happy to avail of some crazy odds on here around the 150-200 mark plus e/w nrnb @ 33/1 and take a chance that the race cutting up makes the decision for them.

Remember Dessie Hughes saying after the Leopardstown win that he'd go to the National, but he's not even entered in that!

Anyway, I've followed the horse the whole way throughout his chase career and always liked him. Had a nice bet the day he won that Grade One novice at Punchestown.

My main concern CV would be the trip; I've always felt he was an out and out galloper who wants a mile further. Maybe the Ryanair will bring the best out of him, I'd really like to see him win but I'd be surprised if he didn't find a few too quick for him. Although Schlinders Hunt ran well in this race for Dessie and Paddy Flood before so maybe they think they have another Schlinders on their hands.

Having said all that, 199/1 on here is huge if he was to run!

That's my thinking and even the nrnb concession @ 33/1 would be good value if he ran. He stays so making all from the front would get a few off the bridle early.

His win a Leopardstown was over 2m5f and he had Dooneys Gate and Follow The Plan in behind who both won nto.

Worth a chance at that price if he goes here. The race is cutting up a bit so they may be tempted to run.

Still in after today! Entered in the William Hill and the Plate still - but big weights to carry in both those races. Has to be the Ryanair - 50/1 here for pennies and generally 25/1 with the books.
