evra, he seemed to think that Imperial Commander was the one to beat. Was more hopeful over Kauto's chances than bullish.
Reckoned Long Run was more ground dependant than course dependant, needs soft in his view. Was a pretty awful preview night to be honest. Late start and than loads of really long clips of the main contenders in the races. Then fairly bland comments from the pundits, Gordon Elliot especially. I can understand that the trainers/jockeys don't want to give away their secret weapons in the handicaps but if you're on one of these previews, you should at least provide some interesting comments, it is their occupation after all! Ruby was pretty funny and at least gave a few positive words for a couple of horses. |

thanks for that marvinho, appreciate it,at least ruby is honest in his assesment of horses, doesnt tend to sit on the fence and isnt biased towards the horses he rides either,i was watching the preview online last night, just managed to catch the first 20 mins, ruby came out with a few funny things,at least he has a sense of humour, same cant be said of elliot unfortunately!
i tend to agree with him re gold cup, long run def needs soft ground, and imperial commander is a solid fav but thats not to say i fancy him to defend his title, i quite enjoyed ruby having a dig at the PP rep about the cue card money back if beaten offer,"ye are in your ar$e putting your ar$e in the bacon slicer" ![]() ![]() |
