Magens Star - Supreme

I heard it was nt a definite starter - that they were waiting to see the ground?? And that the mares race was a serious possibility if she did turn up on the Tuesday

Probable non-runner imo. "She's won both her hurdles races by wide margins, but she has to have plenty of ease in the ground and won't be travelling unless conditions suit."

After race at Clonmel Thu, 3rd Feb, 2011 (1st) She loves that ground and can't get it soft enough so plans are ground dependent,. She hadn't run in 90 days as she had an infection in a joint and it blew up a bit. She had to stand in for a fortnight. The rest may have done her good! T Stack

After race at Thurles Thu, 4th Nov, 2010 (1st) She loved that ground though her jumping can be a bit guessy. Hopefully she'll win a few more on that ground. She'll go for a little winners race next before she goes for anything posh. 'Fozzy' Stack, representing T Stack

Thanks for that hope she does go, ground is soft at the mo so may turn up. I was told mares race maybe bit far and supreme was the prefrence

just been looking into this horse earlier today as it happens, been burning of 100 rated horses on the flat over the first mile or so and has just gone out and ran the rest into the ground on two hurdles starts so far, will certainly make it a true test.

the long range forecast is to be dry for next 2wks so that would hinder her chances and trying to make all in a supreme would be extremely dificult as she would probably have a few no hopers taking her on and not let her have her own way. it maybe easier tactics to execute in the mares but then she has the extra distance to contend with, which, given the way she races she would be unlikely to see the trip out but on a postive note she hasn't been stopping in her races so far.

Supreme is deffo her target. Remember what Barizan so nearly did in last year in the Triumph went 20 clear got caught at the death. She will not be stopping over 2 miles if also thought of been able to run in the mares of 2 mile 4. But yes deffo need soft ground. Will be good to soft at best, soft going at the mo but no doubt track will have water put on it
