Evra this game is all about opinions and I think I've made mine clear.
I must admit haven't thought what I might say when he wins on the 15th though it is good of you to ask.
I'll be feeling pretty good, thankx. I'll be quite a good bit better off but not life changing. I'll just soak up the moment and try to enjoy it. That's it.
Take the family out for a meal and I have promised 'er indoors' a new car, we'll see.
I'm glad though that you didn't ask me what I would do if he lost. There I said it. Only quietly though.
I must admit I haven't given it any thought. No need, you see.
As they say, I'll jump that hurdle 'if' it comes.

I know there's plenty thathas to be taken on trust with this horse, but is there anotehr 14/1 shot running at the festival this year who has previously won at the festival by 11 lengths and is still in his peak ?
I can see a Paddy plunge forcing this one into half that price

Evra if I have put a smile on your face today it has all been worthwhile.
And FormMan you don't think I let my wife know I hang out with geezers like you do you? She would be mortified.

Nothing too special Evra. I have a nice bit at 24s and been backing him with the enemy regularly at 20s since late December.

Agreed.
I think there are 6 or 7 genuine contenders and whoever wins we'll all be saying fair enough, the form was there

Monkey Magic don't tell John Tucker you got those prices he might start crying his eyes out.
1,I would like anyones opinion on how many lengths you think he took out of Menorah after the bend when push came to shove last festival.
2,What strategy do you think "Team Dunguib",will or should employ,to give him his best chance?
By:

When: 27 Feb 11 22:36
Just watched the race again, I'd say Dunguib was 3.5 lengths behind Menorah as they straightened up and was beaten under 2 lengths, so he didn't make up ground hand over fist but Menorah is a very talented horse.
I knew Dunguib was kept wide throughout the race but it's ridiculous how wide he was jumping every flight down the back straight and the hill

Dunguib gave me 1 of my best Cheltenham wins/memorys when he won the Bumper..."But Dunguib CRUISEDDDDDDDDD into the lead Dunguib has now gone clear by 3 or 4 lengths & hes bounding clearrrrr"..But then he gave me 1 of my biggest loses when he got done in the Supreme...Me and this horse have a love/hate relationship..
I backed him again this year but i still think hes goina get caught out for abit of pace..Would love to see the bridle tank cruisng turning for home though..Hurricane Fly or Dunguib bring home that bacon Love

Cheers h9,I had 2.5 in mind, maybe I was being optimistic.I also think he was a little unlucky to get pushed even wider by Spring Bob at a critical stage.Given a positive ride,I think he's got a chance, one things for sure the jock won't be showboating(keeping out of trouble!)this time.

If everything falls right for him he's gotta knocking chance, just watched that bumper race again... if he can use that turn of foot and pace again and cruise over then fences my 20/1 is looking good :) also khyber kim anyone? couldn't resist a good bet on him when hills were giving 33/1 and he is still 25/1 after one dodgy race in the christmas hurdle? theres gotta be value there.

Thanks Evra, been out.
In the Supreme the race was run to suit Menorah perfectly. He is a speed horse and the decisive move to kick on by Johnson won it for him. He is a speed horse. RJ got at least 4 whacks into him before the last and twice that number after. Dunguib wasn't hit until after the last and the last hurdle was 70 yards closer to the line last year than usual. As I said everything went Menorah's way.
This time the pace will be strong from the outset and I cannot see short speed horse winning it.
Class will out, as they say.

If everything falls right for him he's gotta knocking chance Laugh i agree. the fallers must include the first 6 or eight in the betting. bumper form and hurdle form are miles apart me thinks and he was beating weaker horses too. hes the hype horse of the decade and i think in the context of the champion hurdle, he wouldnt beat eggs in a cement mixer. hes underpriced i think and i wouldnt back him at evens in a match bet with solwhit if they both ranLaugh HOWEVER, i wish people that backed him the best of luck

^^ PMSL ..everyone looking at his bumper form, the majority of the field were trees, infact 98% of them were! And you could compare a cheltenham bumper and champion hurdle to the north and the south pole!

Rev, Rev, Rev, are you alright mate? Go lie down ffs.
And Gor, poles apart, got it. Very good.
Look it's late fellas. Best not say something you will regret in the morning eh.
Sleep on it. You'll see things differently then.
You know it makes sense. Stop fighting it.
G'night.

dunny just needs a lil bit of soft in going .... and for the clerk of course not to lie to us!!!

...it was def rock hard first day last year ...thats why binoc loved it ... i remember the year before that ...it had rained during witchita lineman race before champ hurdle and that blunted binoc speed (lost loads on him!!! Cry ) so ground matters alot ...and it was rock hard again at punchestown

...the weather we got now would be fine for dunguib ...binoc needs alot better ground me thinks

Good morning Monkey, quick question.
What going grade comes after 'rock-hard', in your opinion?
By:
MONKEY-MAGIC
When: 28 Feb 11 11:15
for cheltenham ....i reckon good = rock hard! Silly

..obviously im talking about chelt last year ... ground was better than the going description given ... think i heard nichols say thats why masterminded was so poor too cos of the good ground
