Surely nicholls first hope for the triumph this year given that soldatino won the adonis and triumph last year. looks a nice type, well bred and very quick

Baffling tbh. Trainer reckons he was surprised by that performance. Yeah, right, im a dutch speaking chineseman with a 12inch dong and £50m in the bank.

Laugh going to triumph anyhow according to nicholls
Report born2bet February 26, 2011 7:29 PM GMT
I was impressed and with no obvious favourite in the race must be a major contender.
Report revedesivola February 26, 2011 7:33 PM GMT
yep, nothing has stood out to me with sam winner going the supreme route according to nicholls. this lad has triumph winner written all over him imo
Report jsilkycut February 26, 2011 7:33 PM GMT
Very nice...looked like a Triumph winner to me... 14/1 with Hills..
Report Evertheoptimist February 26, 2011 8:33 PM GMT
just got back from kempton, very imrpressed with that, simple case of best horse wins race. Not only did he battle back when looking like being put away at the last, but pulled away in the clsing stages. Lot to like for me.

impressive. picked between taking a price on that and celtus for triumph at 70s earlier in week (il let u guess which i took) :( thought might need a run or 2 like empire levant, plenty pocket, indian daudaie. triumph seems to be getting stronger if anything as we get closer
Report R Carver February 26, 2011 8:54 PM GMT
Quite impressive but Grandouet now has a line to Zarkander through Molotof - be interested to know which Henderson considers best on home work (prices suggest Grandouet by some margin).
Report sintonian February 26, 2011 9:58 PM GMT
Nicholls is now saying Sam Winner goes for the Supreme ?
Report R Carver February 26, 2011 10:03 PM GMT
Where was that Sint? Interesting. Maybe thinks Zar represents a better Triumph chance. Sam receiving weight would be interesting, but its a hot Supreme..
Report sintonian February 26, 2011 10:05 PM GMT
I was reading Reve's post earlier in the thread Carver, that's all.

Massive U-turn if true.
Report R Carver February 26, 2011 10:11 PM GMT
Cheers Sint. Interesting.. Triumph looks easier to win IMO, especially for this horse, who beat Grandouet fair and square, irrespective of weight, IMO and obviously acts on the track. We shall see!
Report sintonian February 26, 2011 10:17 PM GMT
Yep indeed. With what he said the other day at the media day it will be right kick-in the nuts for those who went and backed him. At the time of the interview he must have known he still had Zarnkandar to unleash so I think punters have a right to be a p1ssed off with this one IF he does not go,imo.
Report revedesivola February 26, 2011 10:27 PM GMT
he said that about sam winner since either his first or secont chelters win, im not sure. was a long time ago he mentioned it anyhow
Report sintonian February 27, 2011 10:30 AM GMT
ah ok. Since then he has said he will go for the Triumph. Last week at his press day.
Report NIGHTWALKER February 27, 2011 11:44 AM GMT
Very very impressed with Zarkandar, certainly a high class recruit on that performance.
Thought he jumped well in the main and quickened well, and responded well towards end.Wont have any problems with hill At Cheltenham.
As previously noted Henderson must know time of day now to where he stands with Granduet using Molotof as guide.
14/1 seems value with extra improvement almost guaranteed,i am already on Smad Place and Granduet but this fellow does pose a threat and i wouldn't put anyone of backing him
Report bobmidd February 27, 2011 11:45 AM GMT
Zarkandar did a much faster time than Sire De Gruge in the Dovecote.Cool
Report bobmidd February 27, 2011 11:46 AM GMT
Still 14/1 at Ladbrokes.
Report evra February 27, 2011 12:50 PM GMT
