Far too short.

What did he beat last time out?
Inexperienced horse
Looks like he must have softish ground.

Why this is 9-4 and Mourad is 14-1 is beyond me. Even Big Bucks at 11-10 - that could look an absolute gift.

He destroyed the same horses BB regualrly destroys in much the same fashion. IMO he is a massive threat to BB.

Ballydoyle,

I think your talking absolute rubbish to be honest.Big Bucks is the lay of the meet along with Ruby to be top jock.Grands Crus is a "wonder horse" he beat the horses big bucks beat more conviningly than Big Bucks could only dream of and hard held to boot. The second  has since franked the form off top weight and Bensalem also ran a good race to be second to Cross Kennon in the mud at Haydock.6 year olds have a fantastic record in the World Hurdle, he has course and distance form and even Paul Nicholls yesterday said he thought one day a horse would arrive to be able to beat big bucks and Grands Crus is the one.At 9/4 he is by far the bet of the meeting. An absolute Banker

if he is an An absolute Banker then why are you wasting time writing on here an not spending every second remortgaging your house and getting bank loans to lump on?Laugh BB wins easy

As Powerful as Big Bucks has been, he has not beaten anything of note throughout his career. His rivals have been a disappointing bunch to be honest. There has been nothing in the Inglis Drever mould to give BB a race, until now, with Grand Crus.

money tree laying it is a worry...!!dave duggan said grand crus wont stay the distance in the stayers...hes a very shrewd judge..ive bb backed and 11/10 is a gift..mourad the main danger to me..but only a small one..!!

Grand Crus is not close to being compared to Inglis Drever yet.

This reminds me of when Iris's Gift took on Baracouda for the first time. The price was better because the Irish were backing Limestone Lad and there were 2 ahead of Iris's in the betting at the time. It just feels so similar to me and the outcome could easily be the same....

Grand Crus goes down in an epic battle this year and then improves as a 7 year old to turn the tables.

I would not rate Duggan as a judge but that is just my opinion.

However how has he concluded that Grand Crus will not stay the 3m in the stayers?

i dont know to be honest...i missed the part where he said why he didnt think he would stay..he was interviewed on atr...it might be repeated..

"An absolute banker."?? Utter drivel. You wouldn't fear Big Bucks no? Won his last 10 I believe?

World Hurdle Stats :

9/10 had already ran at the festival
9/10 had 8 or more runs over hurdles

This thing is poor poor value at 9-4
By:

its because he pulled like a train on a couple of races this season,DD said that he would not be able to finish the race at chelt if he did that against BB
By:

looks a coin toss between bb and gc . 9/4 about any coin toss decent value to be fair. form of his earlier runs this season holding up very well  . very impressive lto and improving at a rate of knots.bb will have to be beaten at some stage and this fellow looks the best to have taken him on so far.

Mourad has been doing it well this season also and in my opinion, would be able to take care of Knockara Beau in a Cleeve Hurdle. Very tasty ew bet at 9-2 without Big Buck....

how many grade 1s has grand crus won please??
some absolute mugs on here, there really is,
grand crus is a absolute certainty according to many shroodies having never won a grade 1 in his life and up against a multiple grade 1 winner and double world hurdle winner, you couldnt make it up LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

I think Mourad is a cracker of a bet, 10/1 nrnb with laddies, can't see it not being in the first 3, if you look at it's 3rd in the triumph stayed on very well up the hill, impressive in what it's done this season, only 6yo, still improving
By:

When: 21 Feb 11 15:00
have to agree with evra here and kalinic above. Personally I've had Mourad ew at 6s without Big Bucks for a few months and see it as a 2-1 shot at worst.
