Cue Card. Dripping in pure class, and has NOTHING to beat in the Supreme!
Report Howdi February 18, 2011 1:16 PM GMT
^^^^ tend to agree novices look a shower this year to me although hendo's could be anything.
Report ACStafford February 18, 2011 2:10 PM GMT
I would have really fancied Menorah if it wasn't for this long break he's had. He ran (and got beat) during February last year and went on to win the SN. I'd like to have seen something similar again, just to keep him sharp.

Interesting Cue Card and Menorah mentioned in the first five. They are both very high on my list but I'm now worried that no excuses have come out for Silviniaco Conti's terrible run on Saturday, except McCoy said he's a three miler. That must put a bit of a cloud over the Bula form so instead I'll nap A Media Luz who is all class. Terrific training performance by Henderson to even be able to consider the Triumph after the debacle of her first UK run. On the basis of her second run she has to have made a load of improvement to reverse form with Grandouet but come March, with her allowance, I think she'll be there.

Bensalem.....If gets round wins easily...bit of an if mind!
Report ribotman February 21, 2011 1:31 PM GMT
bensalem cost me big treble last year when cruising, before falling.
however on sat he cruised and found nothing so either he was not fit or(more likely to me)is becoming a bridle horse.
Report ribotman February 21, 2011 1:34 PM GMT
zanir ..county hdle ...festival nap, cruising in tote hurdle and fell due to swinging hdle knocked by not de la tour.
Report the worm February 21, 2011 1:47 PM GMT
Medermit - Arkle Chase - great jumper at speed and has a high cruising speed, the qualities you want in an arkle winner imo. Thornton will be able to put him anywhere he wants in the race (obviously not the front after Huntingdon), and as long as it is true good to soft on day 1 then i expect a comfortable win.

BIG BUCKS is my NAP of the Cheltenham Festival. I respect Grands Crus, he is a nice improving horses who doesn't done anything wrong but he is racing the best staying hurdler of all time here. It will take a performance better than what Baracouda put up in 2003. Big Bucks has the biggest engine in traning and I very much doubt any horse will have the finishing kick this horse has. I am confident Big Bucks will win and Grands Crus will chase him home.

Anyone who naps Cue Card should be carried away in a straight jacket and be made to stare at their torn slips of Cousin Vinny and Dunguib :D. My nap is Hell's Bay in the Jewson. Long Run (nb).

Quevega - done it twice before with and without a prep , opposition does n't look that great though the Sparky May story is a heartwarming one!

I am going thru the Supreme again as I often do with the Cheltenham races as it helps me find things I've missed or gives me different perspectives. Up until now I have been against Cue Card and am reassessing the reasons why. I seem to remember reading somewhere (maybe on here) that Tizzard's horses were out of form in December? This might not be true, but i have a vague fragment of doubt in the back of my mind. Could someone either clear this up for me, or possibly tell me where i could find Trainer stats per month as I've searched everywhere! Many thanks!!
Report cruise d February 23, 2011 10:53 PM GMT
Sod it, Riverside Theatre in the Ryannair. I put him down as my horse for 2011 in the AP forum along with Music Show over 10f on the flat and I can't desert him now.
