I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love the cross country as a race, and as a betting heat it's been very kind to me over the years.
Garde Champetre at 9/2 looks an each way bet to nothing, I really can't see him being outside the places. Made an horrific blunder last year that Nina did well to keep the partnership intact, he was then back on the bridle and swinging along when badly hampered 2 out, beaten 5 or 6 lengths. The division is weaker this year than last, he seems to have retained his zest for the game and whilst I'm not an ante post player before the NRNB concessions kick in, I will be going large on this one |
