Anyone know the whereabouts of this horse? was expecting it to make a decent novice chaser this season but hasn't been out. Injured?

This weeks weekender Ferdy says the following; GOING WRONG. He says of the horse “I would think he is the best staying novice chaser we have had here for a long time, if I am right then it will be (aimed at) the RSA Chase, he is going to be a smart staying chaser!”
Report rogerthebutler January 20, 2011 10:07 AM GMT
If Ferdy said that about him, chances are he's a 135 handicapper then!

It did have a problem but that's been sorted. Apparently, going to make chase debut soon, with objective being RSA in March. Ferdy Murphy very bullish.

Laugh Roger, how many Festival winners have you trained?

How many of Ferdy Murphys swans turn out to be geese?

I'm not knocking his ability as a trainer but he does lead everyone up the garden path more than most IMO

put a £100 on every ferdy festival runner in the last 5 years and go collect rodge

I'd prefer to lay every horse that's 'the best he's ever trained' or been described as a 'serious racehhorse' or similar

I must admit to a certain extent I agree with roger. who was the horse that he said on the morning line last year was better than Kalahri King at that stage for the Arkle. All the mugs went out and smashed it for the Arkle and the horse bypassed the race for a 5 runner afair at Kelso, which admitidly he won at 4/9 before falling when last at Aintree.

Bedlam Boy was the horse actually.

This is a Cheltenham forum lads...and Ferdy's ability to produce them for the big races is there for all to see..

Abbott, have you never backed a Ferdy runner for the Festival , based on talk from the stable?

Yes Ferdy gets pelters on here...but Roger is hinting at Ferdy over rating everything..

Ferdy & Graham told everyone for instance...that KK was a machine from day 1...
Report fearless punter January 31, 2011 6:43 PM GMT
I don't think they ever put KK into the Ascot race.

He'll come on for it.........................Cool

Ocky de Neuillac was his future star in all the trainer's interviews last year...it would seem no one fell for it as he still owns it now Mischief

I hope I was doing more than hinting!

GT

Isn't that the point ?

He thinks everything is "a machine".
