They'd all have all said to a man what a lovely performance to win at Chepstow and all the press and the punters would disregard the early pace.( well the vast majority)

Funny old game Cool

allthe better for the punters imo. tbf the was a few disappointments

Agree horse couldnt have done anymore than he did and looked to have plenty left in the tank. If Sam Winner had won Sat we would be looking at a 4/1 shot at best.

Gets tough from here on for a mud-loving Juvenile - not many decent Juvenile races bar the Finale are run on soft/heavy.  Any idea where next Koo?  If he's come out bouncing you'd think the Haydock Champion Hurdle trial would be a smallish field, soft ground, 4-y-o allowance and half penalties for wins in Juvenile races....

the rating sam winner goot after his first chelters run was enough to win most triumph hurdles. wonder what went wrong with him?
Report buddeliea January 10, 2011 5:24 PM GMT
maybe the rating was wrong.might not have liked the ground on the day.
Report revedesivola January 10, 2011 5:25 PM GMT
maybe. better running well at chelters and flopping elsewhere than the other way around though i suppose

Koo will be able to confirm but Ellison said in yesterdays R Post that he goes straight to the Triumph on g/s or softer.

Possibly runs at Muss beginning of Feb, then onto presumably the triumph but would prob get an entry in the supreme in case it was soft on the opening day and forecast 3 dry days.   Nothing set in stone though as im the worst person to nail their colours to a target as i continually reassess everything and then think ive found a better plan and run somewhere else completely.

Cheers Penzance - now to get his brother schooling at the age of 7 i think.

If he can win over hurdles it would give me some satifaction as well as Marshy
Report revedesivola January 10, 2011 11:36 PM GMT
whats the brother called koo?
Report sparkygayle January 10, 2011 11:38 PM GMT
won well on Sat koo but in my book Chepstow form doesn't travel well. Would fancy both the beaten fancied horses to turn round form in the Triumph with guaranteed good pace...

Ravi River is his full brother.   Felt i best buy him as well after Marsh hacked up the first twice.

Going a good gallop and the going are question marks he has to answer.   But hes answered everything put to him far so we have to be confident he can answer those as well.

Hes more bred for the Coventry he ran in at 2 against Canford Cliffs than a finale hurdle so ive got some hope he had perform under those different conditions as well.

alls he can do is beat whats in front of him koo ur right. wait till i have a look at that lad on rp
Report revedesivola January 11, 2011 12:02 AM GMT
hurdles the way to go id say koo. he looks as if he enjoyed the ame more as a young un so id say a hurdle would rejuvenate his mind. hes consistent though. im not one for getting ahead of myself koo but his early form is similar to overturn, by the same sire. overturn took a little while to take to hurdles so i wouldnt worry about that
