Somersby ryanair contender or champion chase longshot?

needs more than the 2m so id say ryan air is the 1, and that 10s with laddies is tempting

I must say the ryanair does seem the more logical choice he stayed on well latest behind masterminded but given the mistake he made 5 out and the fact he toppled over pre race i think his run under the circumstances was very good.Its also worth pointing out that the vc chase over 2 mile 1 is the intended target for somersby a good run here could certainly sway connections towards the champion

Good ground means Ryanair. He'd have little chance against good ground 2milers like Zeb, Captain Cee Bee and Sizing Europe.

personally i think a real fast run Queen mother that turns the race into a stamina affair would suit better than a ryan air. He just dont want a sprint im afraid.

CV,Robert cooper interview,she definitely said at this stage she would favour QM,and mentioned stepping up next year maybe.

I missed the atr interview to. I must admit though i didnt think the issue was as cut and dried as the markets for both the champion chase and ryanair were suggesting prior to today

also said straight to chelt now(surprise surprise).she thinks 2m is his distance this season,and quote:we can always go Ryannair next season if 2m dont work out this year.

I backed Somersby for the Ryanair a few weeks ago, but I can understand why connections may favour the Champion Chase! I don't think he'll be disgraced on the day, and should any of the main players be off their game he could run close! Hadden Frost may make the running on him knowing he's on a stayer, and that could really shake things up...!

personally i think sommersby is a horse without a distance, i just think hes a bit of a one pacer albeit a high class one pacer.i thought for sure he was going to go past master minded today.im not sure if he ran really well or if master minded ran a bit below par,its hard to judge without petit robin  completing as a guide.

Has to be the QMCC after today, UL Ryanair backers, very nearly had some on him for it myself.
