If trainers are creatures of habit i would expect Backspin to turn up in the Albert Bartlett.
I no its hard to draw many conclusions due to the fog at Newbury last week but seemingly the horse won pretty easily and it was a grade 1.
Obviously trying to 2nd guess Jonjo is an impossible task but considering the last 2 staying novices he has had (Black Jack Ketchum and Wichita Lineman) both ran in and won the 3 miler id say theres a good chance Backspin will end up there.
He is 8/1 with the bookies and a few points bigger on here worth a small punt imo.

Baring doesn't look a great contest at this early stage, so not sure why he would not go there. Take on board what you say about BJK, but didn't he only run in that race to avoid Denman?

In a normal year the Neptune will always be a stronger race than the 3 miler.
My take on it is that Jonjo likes going for the easiest race possible.
I could be wrong and obviously another factor is any other novices the owner has.
But as i said in my previous post at the price its worth a small punt imo.

JP's racing manager has stated that the Neptune is Backspin's cheltenham target.
