What do we think the freeze will do for preps?

I was wondering what the informed out there thought about this freeze and if it were continued to into say, end of January.
Surely a load of horses, such as novices, would be denied valuable experience.
Then look at horses like Punchestowns who haven't even got on a rececourse yet.
In different races, the likes of Time for Rupert and Cue Card have got their runs into them and must have a huge advantage.
Handicap plots could also be foiled with trainers unable to obtain marks needed to creep their horses into races. And also for the, er, clever to get a few pounds off!
I think it could cause some carnage results in March and just wondered if anyone out there with more expertise than me had any opinions.
