Doesn't Kempton have another jumps meeting scheduled mid January? They usually hold a meeting on the second or third weekend of the month.
If they have to abandon on the 26/27th, I hope they can keep the rescheduled race to Kempton some how. Bad enough running the Grand National at Gatwick.

tbf, the Irish have more blank days to start with to play with.
I think that the Sandown King George, that week or so was very cold and hardly anything was on - perhaps it couldve been run at Catterick but that was never gonna happen! [;)]

alvarado, two things that might calm you down - one you probably don't know, one you probably do. 1) HRI holds it's own purse strings so can do what it wants when it wants, unlike GB racing - which has to deal with the Levy Board. 2) Irish fixture list has more holes than a colander so you can pick up and drop meetings, pretty much at will, into free slots. GB racing, as you may have noticed, doesn't have that luxury.
Will eat my laptop if the KG goes to Cheltenham or Newbury anyway. Both 50/1 shots. Either rescheduled at Kempton or goes to Sandown.

I have had my bet with Hills, and their rules state that ante post bets stand if the race is ran at Kempton on a later date. However bets are void if the re-arranged race is ran at a different venue.
