wont be all that easy anyhow. i think that grade 2 was a bit weak and he blew up last time out apparantly so it should be quite a good race

BB - i think Sang is a gorgeous looking horse, and though his form is overall ordinary, i suspect he is also v weak at the moment and i think nicholls said he was short of work LTO. I'd be disappointed if he doesn't step up on that run at some point/

Yeah but, you said Sang Bleu was a machine and the one to watch out for this year, and now we have to wait 2 years more?

dan just likes Nicholls. Fair play to him, he's picked a top stable, but still, doesn't mean they are ALL superstars Silly

Am i correct in thinking royal charm only managed fifth at cheltenham last season?
Thats putting me off a cheltenham festival ante post bet currently.

2m4 Barnsey. Travelled well, did not come up the hill. PFN said he was just a bit weak afterwards I think.

Travelled well, 'did not come up the hill' is the key which is why i am seeing such big odds quoted such as 20/1 for the arkle!

I am not seeing it in any other festival ante post markets so i assume this is where its heading?

I suppose in the horses defence, exeter has a steady climb in the run in, so maybe the extra four furlongs found it out at cheltenham previously?

Anyone know if the arkle is indeed the connections long term goal???

Think that would be the race IMO, but the trainer also said he may look after it this yr and he may not even go to that race. Remains to be seen how good he is, but visually the best novice i have seen this yr. I think the trainer just said he was a bit weak last yr, and possibly signifiant that he didn't run it afer he as beaten, he put it away.

nearly sure it is, nicholls adamant it wont stay 2m4f esp at chelters

Does it actually have any decent form going left handed though?

The only race i have witnessed in the exeter demolition, and from what i've read about its performance over 2m4 at cheltenham last season.

not an issue imo. very few horses are worse going one way rather than the other me thinks

Hard to say what will happen (I dont know its French form, but i imagine it was left handed) but i dont think this will be a problem - rarely will you see a horse jump straighter than he did at Ex.

Ascots right handed aswell though.

Agree with regards to the way it jumped very straight at exeter so it should not be an issue.

Nicholls said of the Tincknell family-owned five-year-old: "He's got huge talent and just needs a bit of time and a longer trip. We will put him away now and bring him back for a possible tilt at the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Chase at Sandown at the start of February.

"The Arkle is not top of the list with him as we are in no hurry with the horse."

thought he was better than that ,but mc cain seemingly thinks sports line is a bit of a tool.

I was happy with his battling back to beat more experienced horses today, but his jumping was not as good as the last day.

Had just come on to post exactly that, Down- I really liked how he was first off the bridle but plugged on to battle past and get back up on the line.
