Same here Albion DanCool
Great training effort by Williams, Pady looked to need that in a run.
Report inchcailoch November 15, 2010 9:57 AM GMT
He wasn't traveling as he usually does in his races and his jumping was'nt as fluent as it ussually is. He will take alot of beating if he goes for the Ryan Air.

Keeps finding one to beat him, coincidence?? or dodgepot??
What do we think?
Report Desmond Orchard November 15, 2010 1:50 PM GMT
Dunno, he doesn't look to be downing tools, in fact he looks both brave and game. But any horse with seconditis needs to be avoided, imv.
Report grade 1 November 15, 2010 1:54 PM GMT
On its own you could probably give him the benefit of the doubt for yesterday but it really does seem to happen too often to be coincidence. Paid 1.70 on the tote for the place yesterday.
Report duffy November 15, 2010 2:02 PM GMT
you can forgive him for a host of his other 2's against top class opposition....but not yesterday on nearly 2 stone good terms with the winner....and with a noticeable dodgy head carriage the whole way around....just have a look at about 4 strides before the last...he looks to hang fire for a stride or 2...it's quick but it's there.
Report Joist November 15, 2010 2:18 PM GMT
On my 'never again' list personally.

When he's finding one too good in what should have been reasonably straightforward like yesterday, then he'll certainly find at least one too good in the Ryanair. Personally, Nick Williams's surprise and the sheer unlikeliness of Gauvain being 100% fit and race-ready yesterday really makes me want to avoid Forpaddy.

Cooper probably rightly always claims he needs good ground, but when r u going to get that during september to Feb? Anway, owes me nothing, got a good plunder out of him Arkle year, & usually always is a backable ew price.[smiley:crazy]
Report ben10 November 15, 2010 3:35 PM GMT
Personally I think he gets second all the time because he lacks the pace to get involved with the speedy types. Step him up in trip, something like a fast run King George could play into his hands....
Report Albion Dan November 15, 2010 3:55 PM GMT
He needs good ground and a strong pace, like in his arkle win, has done wonders to come 2nd in a lot of his races at all imvho.

^^^ shout wasnt it the same challenger who looked like he was going past Best Mate in the King George until someone shot him on the run in.
Report duffy November 17, 2010 12:09 AM GMT
against see more business in the king george......he once won what is now the paddy power where he had to show extreme battling qualities in an all out victory against strong promise....in 23 more races from that day....he won 1 more race.
