never was a fan of dunguibs slowly run novice days in ireland, that was a real race and the horse don't actually know it. This horse probably isnt hype.

If you fancy Cue Card why on gods earth would you back it now....that form has already started to look less impressive and plenty to come out of the woodwork yet. It is Nov...3/1 what a joke

18/11 Dear Sam beaten at 1/2 in £2700 Novices Hurdle. 7/11 Mr Moonshine beaten at 11/4 and getting 10 lbs in weight. Has he really beaten as much as we think? Visuallyy stunning but I am not sure any Champion bumper winner should be backed for the Supreme and what I do know is 3/1 is too short

He could of beat Dear Sam by half the track if he wanted, anyone taking that at face value needs to give their head a wobble ... far more impressive than dunguib ever was, plus he jumps beautifully and hes only a baby.. come march will tell the tale...... THE NEW ARKLE..

like neesom said yesterday....the fact that dear sam was 2nd to cue card is incidental.....dunravens is a decent yardstick and he murdered him.....and even timeform reckon he's already achieved a mark 8lbs in excess of what would be needed to win an average supreme novices.
in the last 15 runnings of the supreme , only hors la loi had posted a higher figure.....and he's not another dunguib because at this stage of the season, dunguib was rated 136...cue card is rated 156!!!

Timeform's rating of CC was interesting: they are saying he is 8lbs better than an average SN winner. Well that makes Dunraven an average SN winner as he was beaten 8 lengths by the Cue Card. But if Clerk's Choice was still a novice, and he is the same age as Cue Card, he would "officially" be the best ever winner of the SN - well ratings wise he would be (if he was eligible and went on to win it).
We are either going to have the best SN ever or.... not?

Evening sawyer.. i seriously think that Clerks Choice rating is badly flawed, although his time was quick in his Cheltenham run, it was comparable to that of Starlucks the year previous.
the handicapper took the View that Barizan ran to its rating when beaten by clerks choice... this IMO was a mile of the mark having listened to reports that Barizan has not done a dot at home, upto his first run at cheltenham, and left the trainer seriously disappointed that he had regressed, so much so that he will be going over fences, i am sure that tomorrows Hurdle races will start to tell some sort of story.
Ballydoyle you have got to move with the times... mark my words you will be eating yours...

ballydoyle....in all seriousness, you can't use dear sam as a reason to knock cue card....scoop6 was already responding to someone noting that dear sam had been beat yesterday, and you said the same thing after....as he says...he could have beat that horse by half the track......and remember, a lot of argument against dunguib was his jumping, that doesn't appear to apply to cue card....so it's just, the 4 months away argument which is fair enough i suppose and something could come out of the woodwork.

exactly!!
Except something WILL come out of the woodwork, and maybe a few,its still very early. Fair enough if anyone has double figure prices, but current price,no thanks.

was dunravens third run inside 25 days. clearly didnt run to form.
what has dear sam got to do with anything? he won the private race that took place behind cue cards hack canter at aintree.
fact you even mention mr moonshine is just barrel scraping.

to clarify a pretty obvious point...if you win easily, like Cue card and then the horse you have beaten go on to win the concluion is the form is rock solid and you may be special. What barrel do you scrape because it isnt one full of logic!

Talking now about going for the Intl Hurdle at Chelt (Old Bula) next in against battle hardended horses...certainly a gamble going in at deep end this early.

Well he will be up against at least one hot one there if he goes -
SILVINIACO CONTI, the most improved and exciting young hurdler in training, is likely to have his Champion Hurdle claims put to the test when clashing with Menorah in the Stan-James.com International Hurdle at Cheltenham next month.
The French-bred, unbeaten in five starts, was quoted as low as 10-1 for the Champion Hurdle following an exhilarating performance in the Coral Hurdle three days ago.
Afterwards, his trainer Paul Nicholls intimated Silviniaco Conti was likely to be have a rest and be put away after three races in quite quick succession since his arrival from Guillaume Macaire.
But on Monday the trainer said he felt he had little option but to let him have a crack at the best around in the £150,000 festival stepping-stone on December 11, although he stressed he has yet to finalise the plan with the four-year-old's owner Jared Sullivan.
"The Bula, as I still call it, will tell us the time of day," said Nicholls. "If he wins there, we'll know for sure we have a Champion Hurdle prospect on our hands; and if he isn't as effective over two miles, we know we can wait for the Aintree Hurdle over an extra half-mile."

..sorry 2 hot ones .. last years Supreme winner Menorah who just won the Greatwood off 11st 12lb (a la Rooster Booster) and recent wide margin Coral Hurdle winner Silviniaco Conti.
They'd have to be mad to take on these 2 at this stage.
