Nice round of jumping.

Well, Dananders ?
By:
that wasnt a race were u can make any sort of conclusions imo. horse was never under pressure and could have had a dump midrace and still won
By:
Agreed.
But did he jump left ????????????? |
By:
no he didnt bolt but his jumping wasnt under any sot of pressure
By:
He wasn't under any pressure at Wincanton either.

ttt - Given he's running today in this hot handicap off 148 a decent run round Cheltenham would put him right in amongst the top RSA contenders at this time of the season.

just took 22s :)
By:
got a chance still

Entered in 2 races over the weekend.
Both at 2m. ![]() |

Was also in the 2m 5f race at the cancelled Haydock meeting on Saturday. Headed for the Jewson? Festival novice chase entries out this week may give a clue...
By:
old or new jewson? nicholls took the handicap with chapoturgon a few years back, this horse was going well when falling over xmas.
By:
I was thinking new Jewson (Golden Miller Chase), but I really have no idea!
By:
If he wins at the weekend the Grand Annual or even the Arkle will cme into the reckoning.
I'm not sure Cheltenham is the right track for him though. |
By:
didnt you think he was going well when falling in the vote ap?
By:
He was going ok but I didn't think he was travelling like the winner. I had a good bet on him for that race and I wasn't too hopeful when he departed.
By:
Having said that if he wins on Sat/Sun and then goes for the Grand Annual I'll probably end up backing him.
![]() The race I'd really like to see him in is the 2m novice chase at Aintree. |
By:
Interesting Flyingbolt. Novices do have a cracking record in the Grand Annual, though he's already on a mark of 148 (why??) - Pigeon Island (129) and Oh Crick (130) were considerably lower the last couple of years (not looked before that). Might that discourage the handicap route for RC?
By:
Possibly. Pearlyman was probably the last novice to carry over 11 stone to victory.
By:
Must admit Ive been having a look at him since reading this thread. He was still going well when coming down in a hot hadicap lto and Ill be interested in where he turns up come March.
By:
Plus it looks like 1998 since anything won carrying over 11st Flyingbolt. 148 equated to 11st 6 last year and 11-4 in 2009, though Nicholls could take a few pounds off with a claimer. At this stage the new Jewson has thrown a spanner in the works!

Declared at Donny tomorrow(2m)
Unfortunately the race has cut up so he'll be a short price. |
By:
Think he could be Arkle bound?
By:
Why they are going to run RC over 2m on quick ground tomorrow I don't know. Despite the opposition I'm not of the opinion this will suit this horse at all. Has never struck me as a 2 miler and don't think he will appreciate the ground at all (look at the times at Donny today). Never mind winning tomorrow I'm just hoping it doesn't scupper his chances of making the festival full stop. Would be delighted to see him declared an NR in the morning.

I think they're pretty keen to get a run - any run - into him. I agree 2 m seems a bit sharp, but he is entered in the Arkle, Jewson and RSA. I had him down as an RSA horse earlier in the season, but everything since hints at 2 1/2 m. I like the horse a lot (other than his falls) and also hope they don't wreck him.

Travels really well. I think 2m will be fine. His best runs have been on good ground so a fair chance he'll act on good to firm.
