Ul chaps.

I dont always read much into these market moves, as anything can set them off, but on this occasion it looks like being correct. Sad

Does anyone actually know whats happening with this horse. He has been backed with several bookies and has come back in on Betfair. Surely if there was something wrong Mullins would have said something by now.

Trust me an injured horse does not get entered into a race in 18 days time. people need to stop worrying about a minor drift and setback. people overreact. Go on Arvika!!!
By:
Howdi
When: 10 Nov 10 22:25
They've just realised he's no good hence the drift

Did anyone find out what actually happened to Arvika to cause the drastic drift on betfair? seems to be still quite short with the highstreet bookies? and it now has an entry for the 28th Nov, surely cant be injured? does anyone know?

Somewhere else on here it was suggested he was out til after Xmas, but starnge if he is entered in a couple of weeks. Perhaps the Arkle isn't the only race under consideration or the injury wasn't as bad as first feared??

The 28th Nov was an earlier entry race so means nothing that he is still entered as not reach the next forfeit stage

trust me, he was entered for it on tuesday, ive been monitoring his entries every day. you dont make entries for an injured horse.

When: 13 Nov 10 21:51
He was not entered on Tuesday. The entries for that closed on 3 November. They were published on Tueaday.

I just wish we were told by mullins, starting to get silly now. someone should just throw out a press release. having said that surely if it was injured that badly it would not be second fav across the board for the Arkle

Why should WPM post an update?  Who started the rumour - Mark Howard last Thursday in his Cheltenham update.  It is he who should release an update from his "reliable source" - not WPM

thats reasonable. just really looking forward to this one. genuinely think it could be a serious horse over fences. its going to be a nervous month until he runs.

We have Mark Howard starting rumours from a "reliable source" and Dave Duggan tweeting to put everyone at ease.

The silly season has really started.

I have never been on twitter but heard about the tweet.

I would not take any notice of what Duggan says so I am not going looking for it.

I think he is a Wall St fan on there though.

^^^ you'll be thankful you didnt after his next race. Never heard such overhype on a horse with evertything to prove.

Back into 18. That was all a bit weird!

Didnt see your reply before Howdi. Bmiley, that seems a bit strong! I've seen plenty more hyped horses who have achieved less tbh. Obviously you havent been impressed, but the way he travelled at Cheltenham, and then the way he won at Punchestown said to me he could be potentially special. Looks built for fences too.

if he is fine then why is Mark Howard sending out messages putting everyone away?
By:
BJG
When: 18 Nov 10 21:08
Thats wat i said, if he is fine Mark Howard would want a good kick in de hole imvho
By:
Temlett
When: 18 Nov 10 21:27
On the other hand, if he is not fine, then Dave Duggan should be the victim of that boot.

I still think something is up with Arvika as he aint enterred in any of the novice chases at Naas or Thurles next week unlike Mikael, Secant Star and a good few others. I'd be a bit worried if I was an Arvika backer.

ARVIKA LIGEONNIERE, as low as12-1 for next March's Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham, will miss the rest of the season following a setback.

A winner at last season's Punchestown festival after finishing fourth to Bertie's Dream in the Albert Bartlett at the Festival, Rich Ricci's five year-old was expected to figure highly among the season's two-mile novice chasers.

But the setback has meant that connections have decided to play a waiting game with the son of Arvico.

Trainer Willie Mullins said: "I brought Arvika Ligeonniere away recently and schooled him and he worked well. But over the following few days I wasn't happy with him and, simply, he got jarred."

David Duggan would want a swift kick in de hole for pretending he was some way "in the know" here

Shame, was really lookin forward to this oneSad
