Apologies if this topic has been discussed.
But what are peoples thoughts on Muirhead as a potential star over fences.Although winless since Dec 07,has never sherked the big races since.

Yep, decent hurdler, I'm looking forward to him going over fences.

Running tomorrow over 2 1/2m over the big black wons... [:D]

Have you guys seriously thought him a natural chaser? Never heard it mentioned once myself and never thought him a chaser in the making. Could this be a desperate move to get some wins for him as he's not quite up to the grade of top class hurdlers?

If he's going over 2 1/2 then he might be aimed at that distance over the festival

good read extreme
have you only reviewed day 2 and 3 from last year?

Brandy - day 1 should be below the arkle preview - it's all a bit of a mess at the moment and i'm being slow to update it. Just headed back to Uni, will be updating it when i can in my spare time, should be able to finish Day 3 and Day 4 this week. Then from then on i'll be doing pieces on the big races in the week ahead, your p.powers, hennessys etc.

Muirhead jumped well on the whole people saying that wasnt an arkle winning performance but tbh what arkle is run in october. Looks like one to watch out for imo.
Report downallstar October 13, 2010 6:18 PM BST
Last years Arkle winner won at the meeting last year - Buck House Chase - run tomorrow.

Forpady won his Beg chase in October also.

All that said, I didn't think Muirhead was all that fluent, may have needed the run, jury is out...

Not the display i thought might of happened, but he won and had a good blow out.
Left Handed may see him to a different light also, but Carberry did let him have a good look at his fences.
Report ENGLANDBARNES1 October 13, 2010 7:29 PM BST
He run alot further than most aswell due to his outside running.
Also was over 2m4f rather than 2m.
Report Temlett October 13, 2010 7:57 PM BST
Unimpressive.
Lacks size and scope.
Has no business being considered an Arkle winner.
Report enjbenjy October 13, 2010 8:23 PM BST
His jumping was ok. His run style just looks a bit awkward to me and he appears to be a bit of a dog to my eyes. I can't fancy him for the Arkle.
