Yep - proven round Cheltenham and proves he stays 3m also.  Be interesting to see where Tom George starts him off.

Add Bobby Ewing to the Novice Chasers list too Howdi.

RSA hoss isn't he? I haven't forgotten him. Interested to see how he takes to fences. I'm not planning to back him as..

..I'm a Quel Esprit fan, always looked a chaser to me and I'm hoping he goes about his business quietly for his first couple of runs so I can run the rule over him before investing a decent antepost bet in the RSA. Mikael D'Haguenet will go for the Arkle, Quel Esprit for RSA.

Hard to know how good Tell Massini will be, that AB race was an odd one.

Ah forgive him the Cheltenham runs, he fell then was raced in the odd mudlark AB race. Aside from that he was a good hoss, never a hurdler but still promising runs over them. Defo an RSA horse. Always was from the start Mullins even saying that at the beginning of last season.

arkle and staying chase look hot to me next year CV you agree?

Yeah defo looks like many good hurdlers to be sent over fences this season. Got to see how many take to fences before we really know how good those races will be. I think that was a quality Arkle this year. Don't think it'll be topped in 2011.

looks to be a soft ground horse but even still should hve come in the first 5 at cheltenham. good horse though and could be seen to best effect in winter months

poor old sam thomas never seems to benefit from the opportunities he gets... injury, suspension and plain bad luck

Sam described Tell Massini as one of the best horses he has ever sat on, and considering he's sat on the mighty Denman that is quite a statement. Didn't TM suffer a dirty scope at the festival? So we can definitely forgive him that one run.

I really hope this point to point winner will reach the top over fences. I can't wait. Keep the faith guys!

i have it anyway ryan. money to be made on first race of the season when not everyone in the market will be his friend!

Lol well I hope he is underestimated on his 1st over fences, but I doubt it considering he's 3rd favourite for the RSA. Be interesting to see where he goes and who he runs against.

yeah sure wud. in theory he shud b shorter 4 d rsa than reve de sivola as he beat him b4 but i think reve was on an off day that day. showed no fighting spirit that has won him his 2 grade 1s

To be fair to RDS, he did have to give TM 7lb, although I'd like to think the best horse won. Am a huge RDS fan, backed him on his last 3 starts, definitely got a place in my heart. I think he done really well over hurdles considering how clumsy he seemed to be. Not sure what to make of him over fences though, can't help feel he will improve when going over 24F though as it looks like he's always been staying on at the finish.

This was my banker at Cheltenham in March.   Sad

I will keep the faith though. That run was too bad to be true. Sounds like the trainer has learnt from it. Cracking hoss.

According to RP Guide to Jumps 2010-2011 Tell Massini found to be  "suffering from a bacterial

infection" when pulled up at Festival

Tell Massini is making his debut over fences tomorrow at Stratford, should be good. Captive Audience should give some sort of competition over the 23F trip, and should have some sort of fitness edge.

I certainly wouldn't be writing him off just yet, plenty against him today and I thought it was a very promising run. Perfect type for the RSA.
