I have a feeling he is going to be a value bet in something after these performances as am sure the engine is still there. Surely, given that he is not the quickest and doesn't jump smartly, he was never going to go a stitch in a race like that against some very smart, speedy horses. Sandown could just be the least suitable track for him too as he is never in a rhythm between fences.
I wish they'd had a punt in the dark and at least put him in the 4-miler at Cheltenham. He's always looked an out-and-out stayer to me. |

there is surely not a chance in hell they will run that in the X-country....it's jumping technique, if i can call it that, is just about the opposite of what that race requires
