Ok as those of you whom I spoke with over the summer know - I am all over Peddlers Cross for the Champion Hurdle @ 25/1 with VC

However, just looking through the markets I have just been forced to have my second ante post bet for 2011, Go Native in the same race.

Here is a horse who pre CH 2010 had the best form in the book, having beaten Binocular twice, Sublimity, Solwhit and a host of others and was sent off 100/30 fav. He duly clouted the second hurdle and was never in contention.

He is currently on here at 32 and I have had to have £20 on - throwing away money or stonking value? Given he is a solid 16-20/1 shot on the high street seems very over priced to me.
Pause Switch to Standard View GO NATIVE @ 32s? Really???

The two races he won pre-CH weren't good races. The Fighting Fifth was a crawl and the Xmas hurdle was a beating of Starluck. Binocular (even though he was less than 2l behind) was nowhere near his best, which he proved. Wouldn't touch Go Native personally, don't think he'll ever win a CH unless it's not a truley run race, which it always is. Plus Meade's record at the festival.

Trainer said few weeks back he wont be out before Xmas this season...much lighter campaign.

Worth a tickle at current price perhaps, but would like to see him out again and evidence he is fully recovered from the nasty injury he picked up in the CH before considering taking a bigger position.

Noel Meade was adamant he wouldnt be seen before Xmas and would be campaigned with the CH in mind.

I know crazy odds, I already took some. Horse has the talent to win it, just has to get a bit of luck in running and be delivered at the right time.
