got my tatts tickets with a seat in the ****ss granstand for the 4 days.staying in a travelodge in oxford. its a 40 mile drive but im not really a drinker so not bothered about the drive.flying down to luton and renting a car for the week. the year brave inca won the champion hurdle was my 1st year attending the festival and think i will be going til the day i die.

saying that i always attend the grand national meeting and i think it has a friendlier atmosphere and just seems more relaxed.

Go down monday morning and stay at the Belfry, play the course on the Monday. Early Tuesday morning head to the apartment at Cheltenham. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else, like the ease of staying there, the drinking, the time in mornings etc. Club enclosure all 4 days, as you say will be going til I die. A stag do I am attending was meant for the Thursday of Chelt til the Sunday but has had to be put back a week Cool

Club all four days.

Staying at Malvern where I was for the first time last year and against everyone else's expectations, I had a great old time. There's some fantastic pubs out that way and the drive in to the course was the easiest I've ever known it.

Will be going on the Tuesday as usual, and actually quite enjoy the cattle-feel of Tatts in a strange way. So many people united and packed together for the same cause just makes it feel extra special.

Went to Gold Cup day last year, never again. Will spend the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on the sofa at home with Betfair up, doing my conkers. Happy

Will probably just go on the Friday as it has the worst racing (apart from the Gold Cup) and there's no pressure on me on having a bet. Will catch up with some old mates and talk about the winning bets from the previous 3 days. Will spend the T/W/Th at home watching on tv and playing the exchanges.

Monday - Gather all the antepost slips from the wardrobe, chuck 50% away and stroke the others, take the wife and kids out as i won't be around much for the rest of the week. Phone the lads up and cement our plans.

Tuesday - Golf in the morning followed by breakfast washed down by the first black one, meet up with the lads and discuss opinions for the week ahead. Watch the first day on tv and hope to break even.If Bino wins plans ramp up big time !

Wednesday - Off to the course including wives (club), take in the atmosphere and reflect on past glories. Guiness village for a while and get on the place pot. Finalise our meeting point and count my ammunition .... again. Stop off for a slap up meal on the way home funds permitting.

Thursday - A calm morning after the night before, watch the racing on the television with a trip to the dogs in the evening, a time of reflection, if losing do i chase hard on the friday............. of course i do!

Friday - Possibly off to track if having a good weeek, if not golf in the morning before planning the last days assault.Watch on the tv and dread the closure of yet another festival, tally up the weeks profit and loss, no matter what the result it was worth every penny. Chuck the wife a few quid if it's been a positive week and introduce myself to the kids again.

Saturday - Ponder my antepost fancies for next year and strike while the irons hot, first impressions and all that !

Good luck all.

Just going Club Tuesday and Wednesday this year. Went on the Tuesday and Friday last year but will never go Gold Cup day again. Far too busy with non racing muppets getting in your way 99.9% of the time.

Course Tues and Weds this year before flying out to New York on the Thursday (missing the racing) but will be settled in a bar in NY in time to catch the Gold Cup on the Friday.

Just need to find the winner of the big one as it wont by Kauto or Imperial next year.
