Any idea of the plans for this wonderhorse? I had him earmarked as the only danger to Binocular in the Champion Hurdle.
He was 4th in a Derby i'll have you know, oozes class.

IRVING SUMMERING WELL
By Claudia Bellend, 8.09pm 14/09/10

Despite the Cheltenham Festival of 2011 still six months away, one horse sent a thunderous message yesterday and forced the bookies into cowardice.
Reports of Washington Irving, who's novice hurdling season oozed hyperbolic promise, came to surface yesterday as Howard Johnson let slip news that will have the Binocular camp already giving up and going chasing.
On a brisk northern morning, Washington Irving had his first workout since a highly credible tailed-off effort at Aintree through which Washington battled the agonies of that devastating ailment, Claudiawankmaterial. Lesser horses would have collapsed and died on the way to the start. So as Usain Bolt took a three-second head start this morning in a 2 furlong breeze, it was as stunning as it was impressive to see Washington Irving come hard on the steel alongside Bolt, before appearing to beckon a sarcastic hoof and seemingly cartwheel into the distance.
This emphatic workout has led bookmakers into clipping Washington Irving into 85/40 from 11/4, a price which is sure to still send stampedes of eagle-eyed punters to the shops.
