I met a great guy in the toilet of the centaur.  He tipped e loads of winners, was hung like a horse and looked like an armani model.  Turns out I was too pished and was talking to mysel in a mirror.

Apart fae that I have not met anyone too memorable at the greatest show.

Actually didnt recognise Healy til I finished chatting to him-asked him was his mate Gary Kelly?
Bit suprised he didnt come up with the do you know who I am?
Report Desmond Orchard • September 17, 2010 9:04 AM BST
Jimmy Nesbitt, my mate piggy-backed him round the Cottage Rake as Jimmy simulated a driving finish after Joes Edge had got up on the line. He must've backed it, but whether he remembered to collect is another matter, he was smashed.

Martin Pipe. Gave me and a friend a lift to a pub. Offered to take us all the way to Chelts. He was in the passenger seat so assume he doesn't drive. He tipped us Our Vic for the Ryanair that day when Thisthatandtother won. We didn't even realise who it was until we watched morning line the pub (they had taped it for us) and he was speaking on there via phone. Our Vic did prove himself to be a good horse to be fair to him, just not good on the day.

Sporazene's owner was staying in the same hotel as us in '04. He filled the Rose Bowl that the winning owner gets with champagne and came round the bar offering everyone a drink.

Another year we were in a nightclub where a couple of jockeys were having lap dances

My Boss

Back in 2000 i had started a new job and they would not give me the time off work at festival time.

Me and two mates had everything paid for so i phoned in sick.No problem i thought.

Arrived on Tuesday at the course and actually ran into my boss.I nearly died but he was as sound as a pound about it.

No longer work there but always laugh about it now.

Alan Brazil and Bryan Robson in the mid / late 80s and early 90s Robin Cook (i've seen his son there too, in fact I think his son may have been there then). I went into the course to get my members car-park badge on the Monday a few yrs ago and met Noel Meade - i was arguing about my car park badge (why they did not send it out to me earlier) and he was also arguing about something, i forget what.
