Funny how when everyone mentions seeing Motty he's always pi$$ed. Funnily enough i saw him at the darts at the Ally Pally (guests of the sponsors Laddies no doubt) and guess what????

John Parrot always there, and always gives the lowdown on certain stable horses.
Harry The Dog of course who told me to back Denman for Gold Cup after RSA win.
Paul Ince and Ferdinand. Alan Ball. Ali McCoist.
Had a good chat with Henry Daly's biggest fan just before Relaxation won the 4 miler. Cant remember his name, on Channel 4 and posh. Told me not to worry about the ground and get on. It was my nap of the day so I hardened. Alistair Down.

Blagged owners and trainers badges for Gold Cup day last year, Zara Philips is gorgeous; highlight being some old fella leathered asking her if she takes it up the arse

Martin Pipe. Gave me and a friend a lift to a pub. Offered to take us all the way to Chelts. He was in the passenger seat so assume he doesn't drive. He tipped us Our Vic for the Ryanair that day when Thisthatandtother won. We didn't even realise who it was until we watched morning line the pub (they had taped it for us) and he was speaking on there via phone. Our Vic did prove himself to be a good horse to be fair to him, just not good on the day.

Sporazene's owner was staying in the same hotel as us in '04. He filled the Rose Bowl that the winning owner gets with champagne and came round the bar offering everyone a drink.

Another year we were in a nightclub where a couple of jockeys were having lap dances

My Boss

Back in 2000 i had started a new job and they would not give me the time off work at festival time.

Me and two mates had everything paid for so i phoned in sick.No problem i thought.

Arrived on Tuesday at the course and actually ran into my boss.I nearly died but he was as sound as a pound about it.

No longer work there but always laugh about it now.

Alan Brazil and Bryan Robson in the mid / late 80s and early 90s Robin Cook (i've seen his son there too, in fact I think his son may have been there then). I went into the course to get my members car-park badge on the Monday a few yrs ago and met Noel Meade - i was arguing about my car park badge (why they did not send it out to me earlier) and he was also arguing about something, i forget what.
