Report SontaranStratagem October 10, 2021 1:35 PM BST
Tyson is the best of this generation he can be happy with that Cool, no easy feat getting in that ring and fighting Wilder, people are sla*gging off Wilder for his "sore loser" stuff but the man had the balls to get in the ring with Fury in the first place, fought him 3 times when after the 1st he could have done an AJ and started making the ducking excuses, but he got in there and fought him a 2nd and 3rd time. Its raw right after a fight, he's sitting on that stool having lost again and he's a prideful man who has trouble accepting losses at the best of times quite clearly. But he fought and got back up of that canvas about 4 times... That earns respect in my opinion

As for Fury v Wallin/Whyte? pfft, he'll have to take that because AJ and Usyk are tied up until July/August next year now
Report casemoney October 10, 2021 1:47 PM BST

Report SontaranStratagem October 10, 2021 4:15 PM BST
The thing with the AJ situation is his opponents they've really tried to handpick taylor made opponents for him and he's still lost twice Crazy

He's always fighting smaller guys and always has a clear reach advantage, but he's so slow and very static, no real boxing skills at all its just moving back and forward rubbish like a robot

Wilder would run through him, if he can take that punishment Fury has given him ie getting back up, he can take whatever AJ has got in my opinion, he's even a big puncher is he Joshua lets be right, he needs a flurry of shots to take them down and that wont be enough against better opposition as he's found out against Usyk.

Fury would kill him, if he can take the best punch in boxing he can take AJs robot shots Laugh

Hearn will never put AJ in the ring with Fury or Wilder

thanks lads. i guessed at the time that wilder would have gone odds on. 1/25 to odds against in seconds is some swing! i thought fury was in serious trouble at that stage but luckily the round ended and he had more time to recover. wilder was very sour in defeat again. interesting to see what both fighters do next

Glad my trip was cancelled, as I would have been pissy about flying home the night before that and missing out.

Nobody is beating that Fury, and he'll clean everyone else out that's active now. Super impressive.

Wilder like an extra from walking dead by halfway, and amazing heart to stay in there until he got his wish.

Good to see Sontaran doesn't restrict his dribbling to the politics threads Crazy
Report mesmerised October 10, 2021 10:30 PM BST
great fight but having watch it back and having watched AJ-Usyk and Usyk's previous fights, I think Usyk would beat Fury. Both of them last night looked gassy, I've never seen Usyk tire yet he has the same skill set as Fury but moves quicker. Fury wouldn't get away with landing so many shots and no chance he knocks him out so he's then relying on a points win. Usyk head and feet movement is even more frequent and rapid, it'll be like looking at a smaller more athletic version of himself, Tyson looks like he's slowing morphing into butterbean, a spare tyre like that would have an affect after 10 rounds trying to chase his shadow. The fact he's been knocked down a few times by Wilder is also a red flag, I thought he should even had been counted out in round 4. Without sound like I'm dissecting his career because you can only beat what's there, it is a bit like Joshua's, beat a load of hand picked journeymen then made his name v an old Klitschko. Wilder just has no Boxing acumen but was worth backing with his style at heavyweight.

Usyk turned pro late and if they fought anytime soon it'd be the first truly impressive win of Fury's career.

Kind Regards.
Report Giuseppe October 10, 2021 10:50 PM BST
you'll get a good price on Usyk to beat Fury if that;s waht you believe
Report wolf3011 October 10, 2021 11:57 PM BST
You can pick flaws with any of the great fighters that have ever lived, Fury looks like he rolled out of the pub without a honed physique but it doesn't matter as he was clearly in better shape than wilder with his comparative slim frame with less fat . It isn't a body building / beauty contest.. Usyk did well against Joshua but struggled vs Chisora and would struggle against Fury. Fraudley Harrison was more muscular looking than Fury but couldn't punch his way out of a paper bag.. even Usyk isn't what you would call a toned body type
Report Giuseppe October 11, 2021 12:43 AM BST

I think Fury may quit.  He's set the narrative to do so and his ego is very fragile.
Report macarony October 11, 2021 4:50 PM BST
If Fury did quit now nobody would hold it against him its not as though he is dodging anyone, Joshua is ok but unless he changes his attitude then he will only be remembered for his two losses to two unlikely winners.
Report SontaranStratagem October 11, 2021 5:51 PM BST
Fury and Wilder haven't been ducking anyone, its clearly been Hearn dodging those pair

And after seeing what Fury has mentally done to Wilder (I was dead wrong about this pre fight) there's no way Hearn sticks AJ in with Fury now anyway. I felt bad for Wilder when was getting out the ring after that fight he looked a broken man mentally even more than physically Sad I don't like seeing that he's a proud man quite clearly

Fury and his family aren't to be fooked with, they will mentally break them down and then finish them in the ring

AJs "humble" act wont wash with the Fury's, they'll go after him more than they did with Wilder in my opinion
Report SontaranStratagem October 11, 2021 5:53 PM BST
Wilder I can't see coming back from those last 2 fights, he's gonna be mentally shot after them

It might have taken a lot out of Fury as well though

Usyk might well end up as the top man Crazy
Report tictacman1 October 13, 2021 6:47 PM BST
Deontay Wilder is set to undergo surgery next week after suffering a broken hand in his heavyweight defeat to Tyson Fury.

His manager, Shelly Finkel, revealed Wilder had sustained an injury during the fight which required an operation.

“Deontay broke his right hand behind the third knuckle and he has to have that fixed next week,” said Finkel.

“He has to have surgery, the knuckle is ok, it’s the bone behind the knuckle that broke. He’s sore but he was ok, he was home yesterday.

“He’s healing and, at this point, if everything is ok, after the hand surgery he’ll probably look to enter the ring mid-next year, like April or May.”
Report SontaranStratagem October 14, 2021 1:17 AM BST
Am I only one who would love to see AJ Wilder? Even with no belts on the line that fight writes itself in a way, its the question I want answered and that's can AJ avoid that right hand of Wilder? I don't think in a million years he can and I think Wilder beats him because AJs chin is suspect at best and he always requires a round or two to get his legs back sort of

Fury vs Whyte is fine for the mandatory fight as well, it'd be a fun build up

Fury vs Usyk for the undisputed title would be epic, you could even have AJ Wilder on the same card and have a double main event
Report TimmyRiggins October 15, 2021 1:07 AM BST

If Wilder's knuckle was the only thing that got broken last weekend, he had a touch.
Report SontaranStratagem October 15, 2021 5:34 PM BST
I think Wilder would/will have more success getting under AJs skin in the build up as well, he was never going to mentally take on Fury, Fury is the master at mind games and looking back at the 1st fight build up compared to the end of the trilogy its clear Wilder was lost mentally by the end. I got the feeling he loved being part of the big fight build up during the 1st fight but somewhere in the build up to the 2nd fight he started to lose it Sad, at least he tried though whereas Hearn blocked AJ getting in the ring with Fury Plain

AJ is no Fury, either mentally or boxing skills wise, Wilder will wind him up in my opinion

Will Fury be able to get under Usky's skin? I don't think he will personally, Usyk seems unfazed by the game, I still think Fury beats him though

All in all Wilder AJ is the one I want to see most now, there's no silly undefeated streak to defend for either so they wont have that stupid tag line pressure to deal with.
Report TimmyRiggins October 15, 2021 7:58 PM BST
Not sure he can say a lot, and nobody is going to run mind games like Fury will.

Wilder just shouts and hollers, but if that annoys him, he might Laugh

He's won half a dozen rounds in 35, is it? I'm sure he is mentally broken. Who wouldn't be?

Nobody is a Fury, but whatever you think, Joshua is streets ahead of Wilder in boxing terms, even if he's a good way behind Fury.

Nobody else has that hammer of Wilder's, so it's going to be great to watch.

I gave Joshua a shot at beating the old Fury, but this was when we were pre Ruiz, and pre Sugar Hill.

As they are now, I give me more chance of running a marathon, than AJ beating Fury.

I think they'll all fight before they retire, regardless.

I feel a bit sorry for Peter because all the hanger ons have jumped on the Tyson bandwagon since that 2nd fight, and they all have no clue about boxing they are just on his coattails because he talks about mental health is a world champion

AJ had them riding his train when he was number 1 now all of a sudden Fury's comment sections out number AJs 3 to 1 rather it being the other way around Laugh

But none of them will know it was Peter Fury that trained Tyson to his first and most impressive world title victory Vs Wlad
Report TimmyRiggins October 16, 2021 8:03 PM BST

That said, he definitely the one I'd be most wary of upsetting out of the lot of them, lol.
