The worst era by far we have ever had in boxing . I would say Wilder's performance was the worst display I have EVER seen in my entire life in a title fight .
PATHETIC . |

The worst era by far we have ever had in boxing . I would say Wilder's performance was the worst display I have EVER seen in my entire life in a title fight . PATHETIC . Fury beat Wilder up. Out boxed, out punched and overpowered from the opening bell. Class. |

Fury led 59-52 on two cards and 58-53 on the other. In truth, after that first knockdown it was obvious he would not be needing the judges.

Hats off to Fury ... the performance of a Champion
He may be daft or give the impression of it outside the ring but his ringcraft & intelligence inside the ring is oustanding ... today he bludgeoned Wilder to defeat |
|
By:
Nothing ' daft ' about Tyson whatsoever

By:
I was very apprehensive when I heard his gameplan, but Total credit him. Knocked his bkock off literally. Should have been stopped earlier, the guys bleed from inside his head. Tyson really is the king now.

Tyson Fury is “almost sure” he will face Deontay Wilder for a third time rather than Anthony Joshua in an all-British four-belt unification fight that would crown an undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time in two decades.
The contract for Saturday’s blockbuster rematch called for a 50-50 purse split, with Fury and Wilder each guaranteed $25m in addition to a cut of the pay-per-view receipts. The deal included a rematch clause which gives Wilder’s team 30 days to exercise their option for a third fight, where the purse would be divided 60-40 in Fury’s favour. Fury expressed confidence a third instalment with Wilder will be next, suggesting it be staged at the new 72,000-seat NFL stadium presently under construction along the Vegas strip. “The spoils of war have just happened,” said Fury. “I need to enjoy this victory and Deontay will need time to recover from the fight, but I’m almost sure that he will take a rematch because he’s a dynamite puncher. At any time he can take somebody out. With that danger, then you’re always in a fight. I’m pretty sure we’ll run it back again if he wants to. But if he doesn’t want to, these are my promoters and whatever they want to do, I’m happy with. Whoever’s next will get the same treatment, that’s for sure.” |

still cant believe "to this day" people were backing wilder to beat fury, some people must be in pain right now! |
|
By:
Was fully intending to go in large on Fury but for Lennox and David Haye telling me Wilder was going to win...

the funny thing about that is, lots of boxers are horrific when it comes to predicting fights, im sure haye said ruiz would win the rematch v AJ and he got absolutely schooled!

I lost a couple of hundred, not for the first time. Well done to Fury TKO backers. A nice win for you. Points backers, unlucky.

He didn't trade with him which was the impression (wrongly) I got when he said he was going to KO him and bully him, he still boxed his ears off and tactically took him to pieces, bullied him like he said
Shocked at how comfortably he beat him up to be honest, Wilder looked a beaten man by round 3 or 4, he looked done in and had no answer and because of that the power had gone by round 5 anyway |
|
By:
Fury done well I agree but his opponent was absolutely appalling .
|
|
By:
Very much doubt we'll ever see Wilder that heavy again... Seemed exhausted by the 5th.
always go with ur gut feeling so fricking true... ![]() |
|
By:
Bet the brakes off him. Wilder looked rinsed after that knockdown, and bleeding out of your ear is never a good sign.
Not sure he'll want the rematch, though. Only going to get the same again. Kronk Fury isn't getting beaten by anyone. Bricktop will be shoulder rolling his way around XS until March after that ![]() |
|
By:
I reckon wilder will take it as a cashout fight then retire after he loses
|
|
By:
It will be interesting to see if his team takes the option of a third fight, the promoters will be pushing for it as technically its 1-1 and a decider will be a big draw and money spinner, (even though we all know Fury won the first fight) 29 days left of the rematch clause for Wilers team to decide.
I think Fury wants the third fight, he's already suggested that it will be at the 72,000 seater NFL Stadium under construction in Vegas. |
|
By:
The 3rd fight will see a 60 40 split to Fury.. Let's face it, It's all about the money so has to happen..
|
|
By:
Tiger, the first fight was a draw wasn't it?
|
|
By:
Yes lovegod, I should have worded it differently, 1-0 and 1 drawn.
|
|
By:
Wilder also confirmed that he will exercise his right to a trilogy fight with Fury which is expected to take place in the summer.
Fury, as the winner of the second bout, would be entitled to a 60/40 percentage split of all the money on the line for the fight, plus the earnings from PPV and ticket sales. |

It gets better now he's saying his trainer was influenced by Anthony Dirrell a boxer who is trained by Sugar Hill Steward who in turn is Furys head trainer. Dirrell is alleged to have shouted out to Wilders corner to stop the fight several times and Breland caved in. Wilder is a bigger piece of sh1t than I gave him credit for. Breland was damned if he did and damned if he didn't if Wilder had serious effects from the pounding he was getting. He should man up and accept he was given the beating of his life.

I think Fury must have always had the ability to knock people out he just never shown much of it before, probably been part of his strategy not to show too much power in the early days otherwise he would have almost certainly been avoided by Klitshchko and company. Fury is a very good boxer that can hit hard so a big no no in the eyes of many.
A lot of talk about Fury and AJ I think there is two ways this can go Joshua can avoid Fury for the next couple of years and hope time gets the better of Fury or he just takes a big pay day and fights him now and retire. |
|
By:
Fury v AJ next year by the looks of it, wilder gonna take the rematch, he would be stupid not to, easy money then he can retire, its just a shame the aj v fury fight will be in saudi
|
|
By:
Well done Fury backers. And Fury himself!
Would be interested to hear any views on the likely odds if Wilder takes up the rematch? Should the market ‘learn’ from this fight that the genius of Fury being heavier and more forward, and Wilder being exposed on the backfoot, means It hugely tilts in Furys favour and he should be heavily odds on next time? Or did we ‘see’ the highly successful outcome of a more even Fury gamble, shortened fight, sht or bust, either look like a genius for being more aggressive or look like a mug for going headfirst towards the big right hand coming from the car park, either way as long as we dont have to go to bloody judges again. ? |
|
By:
fury would be about a 1/5 fav in the rematch I think
