Those weights are thought provoking.......
Deontay Wilder at 231lbs. The heaviest of his career. Tyson Fury at 273lbs. That’s the heaviest he’s been since his first fight after returning to boxing back in the summer of 2018. |

Ring walk prob be about 5, and hopefully fight starts by 5:30.
Both packed some timber on. Hope Tyson schools him again, but think I'll prob back Beyontay by KO. |

whats the weights telling you tictac?
|

Slower pace in later rounds, fancy tyson will be doing a lot of mauling and keeping close. had a tickle on wilder TKO /KO...The cut tyson had is a concern....we shall see !

Adrien Broner was arrested on Friday afternoon in Las Vegas after he refused to leave the MGM Grand Garden, where the Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury weigh-in was taking place .
Broner, was told in November that he was not allowed to visit the property, though it’s not clear why. The boxer showed up to the weigh-in on Friday anyway. He was reportedly asked to leave the property, and was then detained by hotel security after declining to leave before police arrested him and charged him with a misdemeanor trespassing citation. |

Fury is too heavy: he won't be able to move as well as he did in the first fight, certainly not for 12 rounds, especially if he trying the eye-catching fast flurries that served him well a year ago. He might well tire quicker as well. On the other hand Wilder seems to be in better shape: If he really was weight-drained last time, then being much heavier is a good sign. Wlider, strangely enough for a man with over 40 fights, is still learning. The ease with which he has been able to stop almost all of his opponents has meant that he has not been able to improve his technique very much up until the last few fights, but against Ortiz second time he showed that he can make the adjustments necessary to take his man out quicker. Not withstanding Fury's cut eye, and Wilder's claimed hand injury in the 1st bout, everything points to a win for Wilder, probably by stoppage. Although the odds for a stoppage are not that much better than for the win. So, it's a substantial bet on Wilder to win at 2.04.

Des, no way did Wilder show improved technique against Ortiz !
It was much more one sided than the first fight and Ortiz was schooling him for every minute of every round until the one punch Wilder landed. |
|
By:
I know what you mean, Tober, but Wilder was able to land the big punch without getting tagged himself like in the 1st fight. The fight went the way Wilder wanted it to, regardless of how many times Ortiz touched him. Maybe technique was the wrong word to use. The point is Wilder managed the 2nd fight better, and he will manage the 2nd fight better against Fury.

Fury is by far the better boxer but you have to remember Wilder had him down twice in the 1st fight and he is a great puncher ... Wildes one dimensional and he relies on the punch too much to say he is a great champ but it has been successful. Will Fury try to scrap it out in the middle of the ring; I hope not. However if as I expect he outboxes Wilder the heavier Fury this time won't be able to move & jab as he did previously; or at least not for 12 rounds ... he will get caught at sometime and durability to absorb the big punch only works so often .... also the likelihood of a cut from his prevous fight is high
I would like Fury to win but I just don't think it will happen ... he should have had his rewards in the 1st fight but was unlucky If I was to bet it would be Wilder but I might just watch it & hope the boxing skills of Fury win through |

are they likely to start at 5? Or later?
|
|
By:
fury all the way for me. looked like ali a couple of fights back. should be 4s on imo.
gl all and see you in the AM |

Wilder by KO said for weeks so kinda have to stick with it now
Fury is heavier so that will play into Wilders hands |

Is Prince Charles Martin on the undercard ?
|
|
By:
I see that he is.
Surely Gerald Washington is worth a tenner @7/2 ? Martin seems priced on having been 'world champion' |
|
By:
'world champion' needs to be used in the very loosely bracket

Odds that this actually starts at 5am?
|
|
By:
This fight looks a cert for the distance so will end about 4
Prince Charles fight more likely a stoppage one way or another, perhaps take us to 4:35. Then 20 minutes build up, 20 minutes walk ons and anthems so I'm guessing start 5:15 |
|
By:
Can't we scrap Prince Charles?
|
|
By:
I am looking forward to Prince Charles hopefully losing

Does Vinnie Jones still get acting jobs ?
Not heard of him in ages |

The fans would be booing this fight if they were actually watching it.
