Bellew now hyping up the rematch...
"I'm going to be a good man and give 'Sideshow Bob' a return once I've knocked him out," Bellew told Sky Sports News HQ. "I'm going to give him a way back, because believe you me, when I beat him on March 4 you are going to hear every excuse possible. From he's got a sore toe, a broken finger nail, his hair band wasn't on right. "I'm already prepared for 'I wasn't taking him seriously', 'I was in Miami', 'I was on yachts, 'I was sipping protein shakes out of a cocktail glass'. "All I will say is, I will give you the chance to get it back, once I stop you on March 4." |
By:
In other words just desperate for another payday. Highly doubt it will be viable when Haye KO's him inside 6.

Haye looks in better shape than when he was fighting at cruiserweight. Expect him to win very early
Made me laugh watching him talk about being on a $26million yacht (presumably Sky/Hayemaker rental) like hes Mayweather ![]() |
By:
££££££. Will be over in 3 absolute mismatch. Hearn will love it as well as they've built up the fight like it will actually be a contest
By:
i don't think haye will want to knock him out early though. i think he will knock him out when he wants - but who knows when that will be
By:
If he KOs him early he can go straight to calling out Joshua
By:
Haye has to look good for the above reason. If he looks sh*t it reduces paydays down the line, plus I think he hates Bellew anyway and probably wants give him a pasting.

It really is bizarre that we can back Haye @1.22 or that this fight even exists
Haye is a small heavyweight , but he is till one of the most powerful , he has basically knocked out everyone except Valuev and Wlad and he hardly threw anything at those 2. Chisora has taken countless flush shots from huge heavyweights and never went down , but Haye demolished him . Meanwhile Bellew must have been on the floor about 7 times against light heavies , even Bob Ajisafe had him chicken dancing across the ring..... I see Bellew - despite all the talk - coming out fully turtled , Haye prowling around looking bored for about 1m 45 secs , then blasting one through the Bellew's guard and knocking him out cold. |

Haye will carry him for a few though surely even if he can KO him easy. Did that against Fraudley.

![]() Haye will carry him for a few though surely even if he can KO him easy. Did that against Fraudley I don't think that is necessary here . Eddie is totally shameless with these PPVs , he doesn't care how crap they are it is just straight on to the next one... Look at the Molina one , the guy barely had time to get off the canvas before Eddie was announcing the AJ/Wlad fight , so that was immediately the headline boxing show , rather than the crap main event This time i expect it will last 1 round and Eddie will be stood there saying the IBF have just made Haye no.1 contender and so hell be fighting the AJ/Wlad winner , he will be hyping that up while Bellew is being stretchered out |
By:
what do people think are the true odds here? i'd make haye at least a 1/10 shot so his price looks decent. i think danny garcia 2/1 next week is good value too...and i'm seeing mayweather 1/10 to beat mcgregor. golovkin price doesn't look great eventhough i am sure of a knockout..1/9 very short
By:
I remember before Haye/Harrison there were a few people making a case for Audley.
I have not seen one person anywhere who gives Bellew a prayer , but Haye is bigger odds for this fight. |
By:
I would rate Bellew's chances at higher than Fraudley, who was a 50/1 shot at best, imo. This is partly because Haye was a younger and fitter man when he KO'd Harrison. Not sure how to gauge his fitness and stamina these days, though he should still carry more than enough power to knock Bellew out. Unlike harrison, Bellew is a genuine fighter, and for this reason I would give him a chance, considering the fact that Haye's chin has been suspect in the past, and we haven't seen him in with a puncher for a long time. Having said that, Bellew also has an even more suspect chin, so I would still expect Haye to stop him, 1.22 is a good price, it's just that I tend not to back anything at a price as low as that. There is no value in backing the fight not to go the distance at less than 1.2 (although it's a very likely outcome). So maybe Haye by KO at 1.35 is the way to go.
Personally I will be saving my shillings for Thurmann V Garcia, which should be a much better fight, as well as a better betting opportunity. |

1.2 is massive when fight was being made i thought 1.02 at most

this gloves are off is a bit disappointing after what happened with whyte and chisora

don't think Haye like it when Bellew reminded him about Carl Thompson
By:
liked* it
By:
Why ? that was about 13 years ago !
Did Haye mention Adonis Stevenson ? |
By:
Because it brought back bad memories? I think Haye wins this fight easily tobemory. But when Bellew brought up him losing to Carl Thompson, Haye went quiet and certainly didn't like it.

As far as the Haye vs Bellew fight goes, another mismatch with two fighters effectively competing from different weight divisions and huge discrepancies in power between the two
By:
This is pretty much a straight up con and everyone involved is in on it. A mismatch with an awful undercard, meanwhile Brook vs Spence will be ppv with a far better undercard and won't do anywhere near as many buys
. |
By:
And Wolf you way overrate Joshua. Joshua whose best win is Dillian Whyte, who rocked him. Joshua wouldn't have landed a punch on Fury either. Joshua only has one way of blasting his opponent out. Zero jab, nothing. Wlad has to be shot for Joshua to win, because Joshua literally would just get jabbed into oblivion otherwise.

By:
what are everyone's stakes for this fight then?
for the aj fight, klit hasn't fought in nearly 2 years and he was dreadful against fury, fury said himself he would have retired if he couldn't beat an old man. now nearly 2 years have passed can klit actually be much better? surely if anything he will be much worse. joshua has fought nobody yet so it is unknown territory |
By:
No-one really knows the answer to that I guess, but he at least keeps himself in shape. You wonder why he has taken the fight, he must believe he can win, otherwise surely he would retire, it's not like there's anything left for him to prove, but he's taken on what would be perceived to be the highest risk fight in the division.
By:
And I can't imagine he needs the money either.
By:
Haye Joshua will be as big a mismatch as Haye Bellew. Can't believe people are still doubting Joshua. As for this fight I can't see it going more than 3 at the very most. Bellew isn't even that good a cruiserweight, f knows what's going to happen when he takes one from Haye. At least in the 3g v Brook fight you had a skilled boxer fighting out of his weight to give him a (slim) chance.
By:
The fight is still going ahead despite talk of Haye having an achilles injury. Whether it was idle speculation, based on Haye flying to Munich to see the surgeon that did his shoulder operation, or Haye setting up a potential excuse if he doesn't perform as well as expected, remains to be seen. Either way, it doesn't seem to be serious enough to threaten the fight.
By:
worrying for haye backers nonetheless. maybe haye r1-3 is worth a punt even more now as he may want to end this as early as possible.
By:
haye wins this fight easy the only danger is his shoulder at 2t9 i will take that chance bellew no heavyweight and after this fight can carry on beating poor boxes in the cruiserweight division it's massive the step up from cruiserweight to heavyweight ask haye

Right with all the outrage on Hayes comments, is anyone here actually offended by his comments!? It's boxing FFS
