GGG's power is even more punishing than maybe the punch KO merchants though. It's similar to Kovalev where he comes at you with lots of power punches and wears you down. It's punishing and hard to deal with for many rounds.

be interesting if Kell fought Canelo
who's avoided GGG even tho' was larging it
and calling him out after the Khan fight
too much avoidance in the game today

That's what fighters always say, nothing disrespectful there.

n88..Canelo/DlH handpick his opponents
as u say GGG would wear him down
but Kell caught him with some good shots
and canelo can dig
having seen this if i were DlH i'd try and get the fight set up
IMHO GGG isn't quite as good as he's been made out to be

this is why there is weight divisions how can you expect 20 punches from Kell and 20 from GGG to be the same

Choco tonight one of the best boxers about but wouldnt hurt Kell

GGG's weakness is his ability to be hit. He will obliterate Canelo whose movement is average long before this comes back to bite him. It's when he moves up 168/175 I eventually see him getting unstuck. Where his power all of a sudden isn't so unbelievable, and the punches he's eating (and he does eat a lot of punches) rock him. It's much harder to keep coming forward like he does if you are getting hit by shots that hurt you.

If Canelo were fighting Brook over in England for example, he would be nowhere near the favourite GGG was.

Canelo seems to have the judges on his side where he currently fights though.

Got to give it to Brook, good performance. Agree with the pundits - he showed weaknesses in GGG. Someone like Mayweather would have given him fits/outboxed him. Obv not going to happen. As they say though, win/win for Brook - stock has only gone up after this fight.

I think the GGG myth was exposed tonight, he was all over the place first two rounds and came out like a mad man in the 3rd, completely irrational boxing like a fight in the school playground, tactics, guile and skill set out the window, that's the other thing, it was clear to see who was throwing better combinations and the better landing, hence ahead on the judges scorecards. Justice says this should be a rematch in Las Vegas.

Even someone like Lara, who has been calling out GGG for a while, would give him trouble imo. Floyd/Ward definitely so - a slick boxer will frustrate him as we've seen, and a very elite one most likely outpoints him. Can't see any of the conventional power punchers troubling GGG though. Canelo would get his backside handed to him.

Why does Lara not move up then and chase him

HappyLaughLaughLaughLaugh ffs, nobody has said GGG is a technician, hes a figher through and through, he was street fighting grown men on the streets when he was 13/14, hes an animal and can not be stopped

Could someone kindly remind mes that it was a 12 round fight.

Doing well for a couple of rounds before getting overwhelmed & stopped in the 5th ain't really going to sell it for a rematch.

Lara's been calling him out for ages. Same with Canelo (who many would say got a gift against him). He's seen as a very boring fighter though as we all know, not something the public will want to see. Easily avoided. Don't blame the bigger fighters for not taking the fight, just think it's clear he'd cause him a lot of trouble.
