Is there really no thread for this? Anyway I will discuss the fight at another time. What I wanted to know is are we going to get any promotional shows in the build up. I remember before the Bute fight we got some good insights into their training camps, yet I can't see anything for this? You would have thought they would have been using some heavy promotional shows given it's Sky Sports first fight on Box Office in 2 years.

The first 3 rounds were vital, the judges can't call anything other than a carl froch win. Top bout.

118-110 was just obscene, I agreed that by 2 or maybe 3 but that was ridiculous.
It may have not been a technical masterclass but for sheer guts that was fantastic. Give me that everytime.

totally honest 115-113 was correct froch. 118-110 needs sacking a total joke! froch chin won it for him kessler stops 95 per cent of opponents tonight and froch just takes them UNREAL! upmost respec for kessler a true warrior as is froch and i just think its insulting to reward that with that score car!

the difference is they are more accurate punchers than froch, he is no where near to being called a great like you guys hype him
Froch is not the greatest technically but he always put on a show

Yes I don't believe for a second Froch would actually beat Ward, in fact I don't really think he wants that fight again.

love how Sky seem to think Ward shud 4 sum reason come to the Uk...surely it doesn't work like that, the unbeaten, no.2 pound for pound fighter in the world doesn't have to chase the likes of Froch
If that was by Michael Collins tobermory I wouldn't take a blind bit of notice he hates British boxers.
I just had it to Froch. Technically he's poor but with that granite chin and the wild swings he's great entertainment.
Can't see him beating Ward though he's just too skilled.

why should ward come here then watch the judges steal his belts, it is the only way that froch will win, froch is little more than a limited hard man with a good chin and heart, his skills are virtually non-existent

Froch vs Kessler III is a tough sell imo. I know they will sell it on the fact it's 1-1, but really can anybody see anything other than a Froch win in a 3rd fight.
Ward basically says he'd never come to the UK and then says he'd love to have the fight at Wembley

Ward should come to prove what a great champion he is. He has to fight outside the States sometime in his career.

That isn't surprising though is it. Ward hasn't been in their minds anytime recently.
when froch fights ward, he should have kessler as his cornerman.
I don't think Froch really wants the fight and I think Ward would come and fight here because he can see he is just too slick technically for Carl.

If there's a rematch Ward should come over here to fight. Clearly the better fighter but it took the piss in the Super six when Kessler, Froch, Abraham and Dirrel all fought abroad then Ward had all his fights in California then the final in 'neutral' venue Atlantic City.
If I was Froch i would retire now. His record is top class and he has avenged his loss to Kessler, he has now beaten Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham, Bute and Kessler - i don't think he would beat Andre Ward wherever he were to fight him. I think Ward would have also brought Calzague down to China Town if he had fought him as well. The only boxer i could see beating Ward is Dirrell who was unlucky to lose on points to Froch but you do get decisions going your way as champion (e.g. Calzague v Robin Reid) and in my opinion Dirrell is the only boxer in the division who currently has the skill set to trouble Ward.
watching that fight back some of the punches that froch and kessler took were unreal.
