Oli, thought the comments from the bbc boys were pro Benchabla, especially Richie Woodhall's (who I am a fan of) suggestion that "either one of them could have got a count" when the Algerian took his second of the final round. Quite how that last round was scored level before the public warning is beyond me?! Benchabla is clearly a talented fighter, though he regressed appreciably from his decent first round showing, largely due to the pace and pressure that Gvozdyk applied.
The draw has certainly opened up, good luck.

all appeals are ignored by olympic committee. same stuff in khytrov-ogogo match. they just reject these appeals... i just don't understand how this sh1t happens in our age of super cameras and 1/20000s replays. that's fukcing impossiible.

Good thing is light heavy final isnt till sunday, not tomorrow. They've already overturned 2 decisions this tournament that is a positive but turned down an appeal from Krhytov after the Ogogo fight which was just as bad as tonight if not worse

In the pro's you can kind of aim of for some hometown slightly biased decisions! But the Ukrainian utterly boxed the KAZics head off!! You just (well I did) just expect the am's to be honest! I have NEVER used it However; this was CLEARLY a FIX (Sorry gents for the F word) but there is no way that, that was a fair call in anyones book!!

I was shocked that he was only ahead by 1 after 2 rounds.... I am left aghast at the 5-3 score for Niyazymbetov in the final round, backed up and hardly scoring clean.
I was on at 12/1

Well, well done you! LOL I was left with nothing after having my finger hovering the green out for the majority of the bout! But unfortunately I was trying to look at it objectively with little bias and as I said earlier, I could under no circumstances see how the othe rlad won a round never mind the fight?!!

they write that AIBA returned the debt to KZ 'coz they stole the victory earlier from KZ boxer ZHAKYPOV Birzhan against chinese man Shiming Zou
PS: BTW, KZ government hired Tony Blair as an economical advisor in october 2011. So maybe it's easier now for KZ to earn medals :)) maybe they exchange gold for gold medals :))))
